Location was great, atmosphere relaxed, friendly and helpful staff, free parking for our rental car, and nice beach set up. Loved the sound healing class and focus on healthy foods and lifestyle.

We didn't stay at Sanará, but we visited for their extensive spa menu. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, we were too late to book most of the packages, so we opted for the Friday Sound Healing session. Quick disclaimer: I am not well-versed in meditation or sound bath therapy but I've experienced several sessions and practiced meditation on my own up to this point. Whereas my previous experiences heavily featured singing bowls, this session incorporated more brass and shells. If you're into those frequencies, this class is for you. I don't fall into that category, however, so I found my thoughts wandering (to work and home life) instead of remaining present. Due to this experience, we passed on booking a full spa treatment, as we weren't prepared to spend six-times more on a package that may not meet our expectations. On the other hand, the facilities and amenities at Sanará are top-notch. If you're looking for high-class accommodations and spiritually-centering exercises, this place is for you. Conversely, if you're more budget-conscious and less mystically-minded, you may want to steer clear.

My wife and I highly recommend Sanara Tulum. Located right in the center of the Tulum Beach hotel district, you are perfectly placed to walk to some of the best cuisine and cocktail bars that Tulum has to offer. More important than the food and drink is the security and serenity of Sanara. Beginning weeks prior to our arrival, we experienced prompt and thorough communication via email to book our excursions and massages. Upon our arrival on site, we were provided our choice of two rooms, one poolside and the other with a private balcony (an AmEx Platinum Card - Room Upgrade Benefit). We were greeted by a gentleman named Hanibal who was professional, kind, and instantly made us feel welcome. The rooms are good in size, super comfy beds and sheets, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The on site hotel, Real Coconut, is delicious and the staff are incredibly accommodating. The hotel provides daily reservations for beach front day beds (shaded and uncovered options) and have an active lifeguard on duty. Guests are able to take advantage of the on-site Yoga classes - we took a Power Flow Vinyasa class one morning and it was the right mix of exercise and relaxation. Covid testing for our return back to the USA was super convenient, with a testing center located on property. On the last day of our visit, we returned to our room from the beach surprised to find a bottle of Prosecco on ice with two champagne glasses - complimentary of the hotel and staff. This was a very kind gesture! We felt very safe at this hotel and we’re able to walk to/from most of of our lunch and dinner reservations in the nearby area. (Azulik is about a 10-15 min drive).

My favorite hotel (with my favorite restaurant) in Tulum. Love the privacy and amount of space in the jungle suites. Great details and well-appointed, generous details. The staff is kind, helpful and thoughtful. A great, genuinely high end in the best way (read: all the goodness without any of the snootiness). Love it here!

Had the best time on a girls trip! You are steps from the ocean and surrounded by the most gorgeous greenery and softest sand. You feel very secluded and it has such a relaxing and rejuvenating atmosphere (not a party techno club vibe which was perfect for us and you can find this elsewhere for a day if wanted!). The staff and service was excellent- from the yoga instructors to the front desk and every waiter. Drinks and food were phenomenal! A nice perk was also having two cabanas on the beach reserved for us every day- no questions asked and no fighting for space on the beach. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and were cleaned daily with new linens. No limitations on AC either which I’ve read was an issue at other resorts. COVID test offered steps from the hotel for $32 USD and was very quick (less than 15 minutes) and convenient! Overall I highly recommend for anyone looking for a pampering oceanfront relaxing vacation! Thank you Sanara!

We were nervous about booking such an expensive hotel, but it is clear what you pay for. Nothing can be faulted about this hotel - the service is excellent and goes beyond (they switched our mattress when we needed a firmer one) and the location is superb. The beach is white sand and wide, the sea is warm and is on a sand bank so shallow, our beds waited for us each day. The Real Coconut is a wonderful place to sit and daydream. The hotel feels at one with nature, with palm trees and sand all around us, and the staff are super friendly. Our only feedback and surprise was that (for the price) breakfast was not included, nor is there a guest discount on the restaurant eg. 20% as it is pricey, and there was a fee to use a bike.

Solid spot for amazing food and unbelievable views, especially Angel and Milo who were joys working at The Real Coconut. Massages by Naomi, Betty, and Erin were also some of the best I’ve ever received. Giving 3/5 because the front desk 100% fumbled a response to finding a cockroach in our room the final day. Also the manager the first day switched our room then tried to spin it as an upgrade, when it was actually smaller and (apparently) roach happy. The same manager rolled her eyes when I asked for a small credit to finding this uninvited guest. I’ve worked at hotels and know that a $40 credit is next to nothing to make a guest happy right before they leave. You can’t charge people a thousand for a weekend then do next to nothing when they find a roach their last day. That and the Covid testing service was delayed as we were about to leave, which brought a lot of anxiety as my group wasn’t sure if we’d get tested in time before going to the airport. So amazing time overall, but horrible ending (though Vanessa at the front desk was helpful throughout our stay) and I won’t be coming back. The last couple hours wrecked our stay. Please enjoy the picture of said roach. May she crawl happily in the next life!

This is one of the finest hotels anywhere in the world. I’ve stayed at everything from Rosewoods and Four Seasons to smaller boutique luxury hotels and Sanara is simply perfect. This small beach front hotel is pure zen. The sound healing and spa were standouts. And, we are almost every meal at Real Coconut. If you want nightlife, you can walk or scooter but we found it refreshing to feel away from it all and secluded in a little slice of heaven. The staff is phenomenal and so are the owners. Bravo!
