★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No visit to CDMX is complete without a visit to a Sanborns. I am so biased! I know what the food will be like, the atmosphere and the service. This particular Sanborns was unknown to me even though it is at Centro Histórico. We were a large group and we were sitted basically at the street level feeling like a basement and could not compare to my favorite Casa de los Azulejos. But it served it's purpose. Great Enchiladas Suizas and cold, refreshing Cerveza Sol. Always a great experience but kept at four stars based on size and closeness feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe for basic fare, coffee, and pastries. Beautiful high ceilings in the courtyard of true building. Service was good. The menu was available in Spanish and English. Piano played live.
