Sandos Caracol Spa & Gym - 77730 Playa del Carmen

Compramos la membresía Royal elite en nuestra visita a sandos finisterra (los Cabos) la cual después de mucha insistencia y que nos dijeron que era una maravilla nos convencieron….. al llegar aquí a SANDOS CARACOL nos dimos cuenta que es una estafa. Desde que llegamos nos dimos cuenta que el trato ni siquiera fue VIP como nos dijeron que sería, nos asignaron una habitación más abajo del nivel que se suponía que teníamos derecho, el servicio del personal bastante malo (No hay suficiente personal y no están capacitados), la comida malísima, el hotel ya está viejo, muy sucias las áreas comunitarias, nunca nos asignaron un concierge y cuando pregunté me dijeron que yo tenía que ir a buscarlos jajaja. En fin…. Si los quieren convencer de comprar la membresía royal elite ¡huyan! Definitivamente no vale la pena y lo malo que ya no sabrán qué hacer con todas esas noches por qué ni a mi peor enemigo se las regalaría.

Deseo felicitar al personal en general , pero muy en especial al recepcionista Alejandro, Y destacar el trabajo silencioso de nuestro camarista Jorge Solís por su trabajo realizado con mucho esmero y dedicación . El restaurant Los Lirios que son fantásticos Roldán y Grey en especial. Vengan a disfrutar con confianza la pasarán extraordinario.

El resort es lindo y la naturaleza y fauna del lugar hace una experiencia única pero el servicio deja mucho qué desear, en recepción se tardan demasiado en hacer el check in, el gerente de recepción en lugar de dar soluciones dejo a su recepcionista solo y no regreso a darnos una respuesta. Las habitaciones y en general el hotel se le notan los años, la habitación olía a encerrado.

Great service from the start of our vacation to the end. Jair Valenzuela took EXCELLENT care of us and our group. Our room was GREAT and the staff was very attentive and great attitudes. Very happy with our stay!

Overall this is a really good place to stay. I love the jungle here and all the animals, and the beach is very picturesque with lots of shady spots to stay cool. The rooms are also very nice. In my opinion, it’s not the greatest resort for swimming since there is no large pool (instead there are quite a few small pools and a water park). The sea out front is also quite shallow and rocky, which makes swimming difficult; however it’s very safe and good for splashing around in the shallows. The food is generally quite mediocre; however some of the restaurants (which you need to book) are pretty good. The check in and other front desk services are a little bit painful to use (there are often long queues). Overall, I think the resort would benefit from increasing the staff numbers and/or improving management processes because, at times, there is a real feeling of chaos around the place. I’d like to add that this review is from the point of view of two adults without children. I actually think this is an incredible place for families with kids, despite the minor negatives that I’ve mentioned above.
