I contracted with Santana glass to hang a large (4foot by 10 ft) mirror on my patio wall. The mirror enabled a view of the Sea of Cortez from inside my condo. It was quite nice. Santana Glass charged me $450. USD for the mirror & installation. After it was installed, I asked the installer for a receipt as I paid in cash which was what Santana Glass required. The installer told me the receipts were in his truck & that he would get & bring back to me. He never returned from his truck with the receipt. What happened next is the problem. I was told to leave the tape on the mirror for 48 hours giving the glue the time required to secure the mirror which I did. Less than 6 months after the installation, there were strong winds in Puerto Penasco, which occur on a regular basis. The mirror was blown off the wall & shattered. Since I’m not a full time resident here, I haven’t contacted Santana Glass. My friend, Carmen Cañez, at Castaways attempted to contact them for me but was unsuccessful. I will meet with Santana Glass tomorrow. I will post my after meeting results. Sincerely, Veronica Swanson Bella Sirena B305 My mirror was recently replaced at no cost! The workers made a few adjustments to make sure that it doesn’t detach from the wall when there’s high winds in the future. I’m grateful Santana Glass was professional in the handling of my issue!
