★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mi madre me llevaba cuándo era pequeña me pareció muy bien todo lo que a cambiado con el paso de los años y está muy bonito el jardín que rodea la iglesia y ahora con la línea del tren estación Santuario está mucho mejor.
My mother took me when I was little, everything that has changed over the years seemed very good to me and the garden that surrounds the church is very beautiful and now with the Sanctuary station train line it is much better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un lugar excelente para pasarla con tus amigos o salir de fuera de tu rutina diaria, sobre todo en familia. Me gusta que en los sábados están haciendo bailes de danzon, realmente una maravilla estar por ahí.
It is an excellent place to hang out with your friends or get away from your daily routine, especially with your family. I like that on Saturdays they do danzon dances, it's really wonderful to be there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe es un templo católico de estilo churrigueresco localizado en la Ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco en México, dedicado (como su nombre lo indica) a la advocación mariana de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. La primera piedra se colocó el 7 de enero de 1777 y tras 4 años de obras, la iglesia se inauguró en 1781. La construcción fue promovida y costeada por el filántropo español y entonces Obispo de la diócesis, Fray Antonio Alcalde.
Pertenece a la Arquidiócesis de Guadalajara y tiene el rango de santuario arquidiocesano.
El edificio es de estilo churrigueresco, cubierto con cantera amarilla proveniente de la Barranca de Huentitán. Solo en la portada se puede encontrar ornamentación, ésta es sencilla pero elegante con dos cuerpos; el primero flanqueado por pilastras almohadillas y en el segundo cuerpo está la ventana coral al centro. Remata el edificio con dos espadañas a manera de torre cuyo segundo cuerpo remata en pequeñas almenas.
En el interior del templo predomina el estilo neoclásico, resaltando los murales y las columnas que imitan al mármol. En su interior sobresalen sus dorados altares de tendencia neoclásica; 28 oleos con temas de la Virgen Maria, de los evangelistas y de los sumos pontífices, los cuales se encuentran enmarcados en altos relieves; unos en forma oval y otros en forma rectangular; así como dos órganos, uno de ellos tubular y monumental.
La imagen de nuestra Señora de Guadalupe se encuentra en el altar principal, pintura que data de 1779 realizada por Don José de Alcíbar, coronada con una riquísima corona de oro.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a Churrigueresque style Catholic temple located in the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico, dedicated (as its name implies) to the Marian invocation of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The first stone was laid on January 7, 1777 and after 4 years of work, the church was inaugurated in 1781. The construction was promoted and paid for by the Spanish philanthropist and then Bishop of the diocese, Fray Antonio Alcalde.
It belongs to the Archdiocese of Guadalajara and has the rank of an archdiocesan sanctuary.
The building is in the Churrigueresque style, covered with yellow quarry from the Barranca de Huentitán. Only on the cover you can find ornamentation, this is simple but elegant with two bodies; the first flanked by pillows pilasters and in the second body is the choral window in the center. The building is crowned with two tower-like cattails, the second section of which ends in small battlements.
Inside the temple, the neoclassical style predominates, highlighting the murals and columns that imitate marble. Inside its gilded neoclassical altars stand out; 28 oil paintings with themes of the Virgin Mary, the Evangelists and the Supreme Pontiffs, which are framed in high reliefs; some in oval shape and others in rectangular shape; as well as two organs, one of them tubular and monumental.
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is on the main altar, a painting dating from 1779 made by Don José de Alcíbar, crowned with a very rich gold crown.
