★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cuando la tropa llegó a este lugar el capitán Santoyo le ordeno que subiera a este mezquite para quemarlo pero como el traía su brazo quebrado no pudo subir, el capitán saco su pistola y le dio tres tiros dejándolo muerto abajo de este árbol.
When the troops arrived at this place, Captain Santoyo ordered him to go up to this mesquite to burn it, but since he had his broken arm he could not climb, the captain took out his pistol and gave him three shots, leaving him dead under this tree.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es otro de los lugares a visitar en la ruta en los mártires mexicanos de la persecución religiosa del siglo pasado. Afuera se encuentra el sitio donde fue martirizado San Pedro Esqueda Ramírez, sacerdote originario de San Juan de los Lagos. Hay una estatua que lo representa justo después de haber recibido las balas, así como una placa en la que se consigna el hecho y donde se citan algunas palabras del sacerdote.
It is another of the places to visit on the route in the Mexican martyrs of the religious persecution of the last century. Outside is the site where San Pedro Esqueda Ramírez, a priest from San Juan de los Lagos, was martyred. There is a statue that represents him just after having received the bullets, as well as a plaque in which the fact is recorded and where some words of the priest are quoted.

Es la primera vez que vengo a este hermoso lugar y definitivamente me encontré con Cristo, el testimonio de este gran santo te motiva a dar la vida en ofrecimiento a Cristo Rey.
A sanctuary full of memories and the testimony of this great martyr San Pedro Esqueda, the facilities are very beautiful and well maintained, large green areas. It is the first time that I come to this beautiful place and I definitely met Christ, the testimony of this great saint motivates you to give your life in offering to Christ the King.
