★ ★ ★ ★ ★ En este templo del siglo XIX se honra a Jesús, el Buen Pastor, quien es representado por el Señor de Zelontla.
La historia de la imagen es muy peculiar: se cuenta que venía de España con destino a la Ciudad de México, pero en su paso por Real del Monte fue imposible volverla a mover; desde entonces los pobladores la adoptaron como su protector.
Para celebrar al patrono, en enero se realiza una fiesta que incluye eventos deportivos, bailes, juegos y muchos más atractivos que no dejarán de sorprenderte.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este Santuario es uno de los lugares mas importantes aquí en Real del Monte, primeramente en este templo se adoraba a San Diego, pero posteriormente se adjudicó este lugar al Cristo de Zelontla, un cristo doliente aparecido en el siglo XVII que venía desde España, pero..... decidió quedarse aquí en Mineral del Monte, este cristo tiene una gran leyenda que no les cuento, para que lo visiten y conozcan sus orígenes.
Pero este señor es nada mas ni nada menos que EL CRISTO DE LOS MINEROS.
Sus vestimentas, características y su imagen fueron diseñadas por los propios mineros del pueblo a quien pedían día con día tener suerte y salir de la mina después de cada jornada de trabajo
Este Santuario es muy poco visitado, ya que la mayor parte de la gente piensa que Real del Monte es ir a comer pastes, tomar tragos, sentarse en la plaza o hechar novio y entran al templo de entrada por salida, diciendo que no hay NADA, sin ni siquiera cultivar su conocimiento o culturizarse de lo que realmente es Mineral del Monte
A veces creanme, sin ofender a nadie, Los Mexicanos me dan pena por su ignorancia, mente corta y su poco interés por conocer la cultura, e incluyo a profesionistas y no profesionistas. Tenemos que cambiar eso.
En fin, cuando visiten Real del Monte, visiten este Santuario y conozcan La Leyenda del Cristo de Zelontla, les aseguro que les gustará
