Very close to the CDMX on the eastern side, you can take a bus on the airport metro in the direction of Santa Marta (about $ 35 for a ticket) for a direct trip. It leaves you in the center and from there you can decide where to go: to the market, the church, a local or, as in my case, climb the Cerro del Señor del Sacromonte. The main climb is somewhat tiring but with a beautiful view. From the top where the church rock is located, you can see both Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl. To have a good weekend is very good. For the return, in the center behind the Aurrerá and the municipal palace, the same combis return to the Airport. Or ahead is the Amecameca terminal and you can take a bus.

It is a small chapel with an excellent view of the volcanoes, the Sunday morning mass is at 11:00 am. I recommend that if you are going to climb on foot wear comfortable shoes since the climb is with pure stone.

A super beautiful place, you can go with family, friends or alone. It is very safe, quiet and you breathe fresh air. Bring comfortable shoes because if you walk up, the path is paved, or you can go up by car. But I recommend you to walk for a while, stop and sit on the benches with a small table to take a break and admire the place. You can buy sweets or something else. And take a lot of beautiful photos. It is the viewpoint of the town from two different fronts. You can climb both ends of the sanctuary, it is a good cobbled climb that if you have normal condition you can do it in 15 minutes. You can go up by car at one end.

Very nice sanctuary. The viewpoint is incredible. The view of the volcanoes is spectacular. They can go up by car or walking. If you go up on foot, the walk is very beautiful.

It is beautiful and well preserved, the views are spectacular, if it is not very cloudy, it is recommended to go with tennis shoes, the floor is not very flat, there are many tombstones to read and several views to see, if you can go up by car there is a small accessible parking lot , nothing complicated.

It is worth highlighting the care that the place has, everything is in very good condition, the painting of walls inside and outside is taken care of in detail, the floor reflects the sun's rays thanks to its cleanliness. From the temple you have a panoramic view of the town of Amecameca and the imposing Iztaccihuatl volcano. In general, the most recommended place to visit within Amecameca.
