★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality work but seems quite overpriced for Mexico. A bit cheaper than similar work I have had done in the United States, but not by very much.
After I thought back on it I realized that the guy was asking me whether I lived in Mérida or not (and not in a particularly friendly or conversational way) and now I'm thinking that is his way to figure out how much he will charge you...
Assuming if you are a local you will come back if the prices are good, but if you you are just passing through they can charge a higher price and get away with it because I don't have to worry about repeat business.
I have no way to prove that of course, but that's kind of the way it seems to me after looking back on the transaction and conversations both times I was there.
