Servicio muy bueno del gerente y los otros, pero los de taquilla deben de mejorar su atendimiento al cliente!

Scotiabank SMA used to have great service but over the past two years it has become terrible, both for personal and business banking. The manager sets the example for the rest of the staff with an "I don't care" attitude and does not return emails or phone calls. Zero interest in customer service and solutions. // Antes era una buena sucursal pero llevan como dos años de pesimo servicio para ambos banca personal y negocio. La gerente pone el ejemplo para los demas - no muestra el menor interes o voluntad de apoyar a los clientes o resolver problemas. No devuelve llamadas ni emails.

Slow service. Incompetence

This is a review about the ATM at this bank. They have a scam going on, whereby if you use a debit card from the US, they present you with the option of converting your dollars into pesos at a horrendous exchange rate (a 12% markup over wholesale rate - see picture). Normally, this conversion is handled by your US bank that charges about 3% commission - very reasonable. Well, the ATM software is designed to hide this favorable option from you, by presenting you with a very busy and confusing screen, where your two options are to Accept the Conversion (their hideous deal), or Decline. To get the good deal, click on Decline. I know, it's counter-intuitive, that's how they get you! Once you Decline their "offer", you then get your pesos at the reasonable exchange rate. A friend lost about USD $50 when she fell for this, even though I'd previously told her about this scam...Live and Learn! BTW, I've encountered a similar version of this scam in a couple of London restaurants last year, where this "choice" is offered when you pay with your US credit card... Caveat emptor (buyer beware!).
