If you like to dive in small groups in places where you are practically just with this small group: go with Pepe. I sent him a WhatsApp with what I was looking for and he replied super quick. He goes to places where others don’t go and is very professional. He found the big fishies but also small stuff like seahorses. Ricky the captain will find you in the ocean and help you with everything after diving and he prepares fruits which is of course very nice! I was planning to do a couple of days diving and stayed for a week. Just very friendly people, small group and affordable. Plus he brings all your stuff and you don’t lose time trying everything on. So don’t hesitate and go dive with Pepe. Ricky and Pepe are a great team and it’s nice that they’re from the island.

I initially reached out for a single day 2 tank dive, but ended up doing 3 days and 6 dives. Pepe the owner was excellent and passionate at his craft. He showed me many places I couldn't dream of diving, and the amount of aquatic life I witnessed on the dives were top notch. We encountered a huge spotted eagle ray, multiple sharks, many eels several turtles, pufferfish, grouper, lobster, flounder and so much more. We dove through caves in the coral reef and drifted some amazing shallow water reefs and wall dives. Weather you are novice or experienced this is the guide for you. Btw his prices are top notch and he does small group dives which are much more intimate and less burdomsome than the big groups. All equipment can be rented with advanced notice. I’ve been on multiple dives with Pepe and love the chilled atmosphere. He’s very adaptable on dive sites, if you have something you particularly wanna see! Captain Ricky is very helpful and navigates the gorgeous blue waters of Cozumel with ease. Hope to see you again soon!

I dove with Pepe and captain Ricardo every day available for almost two weeks in February. I would highly recommend diving with them. The pricing was competitive. Small groups, long bottom times, easy going drift diving at its best. Happy and friendly service. I cant say enough good things about Pepe! Thanks for all the great dives man!

I spent two days diving with scuba Reef divers and would like to share how how great of an experience I had. It is a locally owned dive operation with small boats, which means personalized attention. I hate cattle boats and therefore this was perfect.The owner and instructor, Pepe Canton, did everything possible to make the dives comfortable and enjoyable for every all divers....ranging from beginners to divemasters. His team was fun, efficient and most importantly, safe. I highly recommend this op. Please support local businesses.

We had such a great time with Pepe and Ricky! We did discover scuba diving course with Pepe. One of us didn't know how to swim but Pepe made sure that we were comfortable and not anxious. Pepe walked us through all the instructions and PADI guidelines really well. We first practiced in shallow water near the beach and then did a boat dive in the reef. We saw so many wonderful fishes, sting rays, king crabs etc. Pepe and Ricky also had snacks for us -- fresh fruits and drinks. Finally, they also accept credit cards. Pepe was also very responsive even before the booking and answered all our questions with patience and care. We would love to do more diving with Pepe when we visit again! Highly recommended :)

My experience diving with Pepe and Scuba Reef Divers has been absolutely amazing. I am in my mid 30s, and scuba diving was something that I have wanted to try my whole life. I was always too scared or too poor to ever try it. Pepe conducted all my contained water and open water courses. He is incredibly kind and patient, fluent in both Spanish and English, and a wonderful teacher. Each group is small and everyone gets lots of attention. His boat is fast and easy to get to and he always goes over everything and makes sure everyone is comfortable with the dive. During the dives, he is constantly making sure all the divers are safe while pointing out all the different wild life. Pepe has been diving these reefs for many years and knows all the wildlife and dives with conservation in mind. He is the best teacher/dive instructor anyone could ask for and I would recommend him to anyone either starting for the first time or looking to see some of the best reefs in Cozumel.

Scuba Reef Divers is small local dive operation. We enjoyed the diving and the snorkeling was amazing. We rented a house that was a good ways from their marina yet they went out of their way to pick us up right at our dock. Our group of 9 had a great time snorkeling with them. They provided all the gear, took us to a beautiful beach for lunch where they served up good food and drinks. They also went out of their way to find a go-pro for us to rent. They arranged a fishing trip for 9 of us. They were fun and very safe. We enjoyed our experiences with Scuba Reef Divers.
