We stayed at Riu Cancun and this place was located on their property. We asked a for a quote on the jet ski and he told us $120. We told him we would think about it and would return the next day. We did come back the following day and the guy was so rude to us because we did not take his offer the day prior. He refused to talk or even look at us. Ultimately he refused to give us any services. This was so embarrassing, we have never been treat this way in our life. I would not recommend this place at all if you walk further down the beach there are other vendors with reasonable prices.

Alex our dive master helped us with our first dive since we were certified in Wisconsin. Alex was super patient, helped alleviate my concerns, and made the whole experience positive. I was pretty nervous and in the end, I felt much more confident. The guys helping on the boat were great as well. Great experience!

We were a large group and booked a private boat to go to Isla Mujeres. It was New Year's Eve and we had the boat from 1-6. Once we reached the island the crew told us that they had to to take another group back to Cancun. So we rushed through lunch to get to the beach before the boat left and then had to wait for the boat to arrive after dropping the other group so we could go back. The only reason we had paid the through our nose to get a private boat was to have the flexibility to move around and come back on our own time. Calls and messages to the management were not answered. The crew were great but said that they had to follow what their management had told them. If I could, I would give the crew 5 stars and the sales/management 0 stars.

This is the worst water sports experience we’ve had. We used them at the Hotel Riu Caribe. The workers at the payment station and the workers at the beach don’t talk to each other at all and make false promises. The people that we made the reservation through and paid promised 2 jetskis for 1 hour each. Then when we had been out for a half hour, the workers at the beach and in the water demanded that we come back after a half hour because they claimed we didn’t have an hour reservation. We ended up getting our money back for the second half hour after much back and forth with all workers involved. We also used them for parasailing. You pay for 30 min trip but you are only in the air for 10 min max. Again the people making reservations promised that our family could be on the boat with us if they paid which we reserved. When we got to the beach to leave for the trip, they refused to let our family go with us claiming it was because of COVID, but then let 5 other passengers go with us because they were paying to go up in the air.

Isla Murijes snorkel tour is not a tour. If you don’t want to snorkel do not buy this package. I was going to book another cruise but I decided on this one due to them having a booth at the Riu Las Americans Cancun. I was so disappointed. About 10 people decided not to snorkel and we all had to wait on the boat in silence. Even though we decided not to snorkel we had no drinks or music (was offered water). After the group of snorkelers came back and we moved on from that spot we had some drinks (I am still waiting for the rum and coke I asked for). We went on to the beach club and allocated 1 hour for food. This is not a beach club. It’s a seaside hole in the wall. Food was ok and not memorable. We then went to Isla Murijes 2.5 hrs for shopping and sight seeing. David explained what the island had to offer but it was a disappointment because there was not even a map offered to find the places he mentioned. We were offered golf karts for $35 an hr to drive around the island but it would have been useless because my GPS don’t work and we couldn’t find anything. The three of us decided to try the restaurants close to the dock. We were told to get back to the boat at 3:20pm. At 3:04pm majority of us went back to the boat and was told we can’t get on the boat until 3:20. My sister was sick and asked if she could get on just to sit down. They said “no, we told you what time to come back.” The tour was uneventful, boring and memorable for all the wrong reasons. David was helpful and tried to make us comfortable but other crew members treated the 3 black people on board differently. One guy helped everybody off the boat except my friend and left her sandals in the bucket and put it back on the boat while he placed all other footwear on the dock (my sister and I had our sandals in our bags.) I went back to the guy we bought the tickets from and he said “David told me you guys were hangover and slept the whole ride.” We went inside the boat on our way back to avoid sitting and leaning on others. We all sat elbow to elbow on deck due to the net at the front of the boat that prevent us from standing or moving around. I fell asleep on my way back because the boat ride was boring, I was extremely upset and so over the “tour.” I reached out to the company and yet to have my problems addressed

Ivan, Julio y Manaces were awesome tour guides. They made everything so fun and we had the best treatment. We were a group of 29 we were all very pleased. They had to make a lot of drinks and did everything with a smile. Also they were super knowledgeable anything we asked they answered with knowledge. There is a lot of choices when doing tours. After talking to several sales reps. We decided to go with scuba caribe. They offer us a private bus at a cheaper rate with everything included. Mayabtravel picked us up. Best hosts Julio, Ivan y Manaces.

I had my first successful scuba diving with instructor Lili. She was very nice and patient. The instruction was very clear and we had practiced at the pool first and she made sure we understood everything. Then we took a boat ride and start driving. We were done there for 35-40 minutes. The view was beautiful! So worth it!
