Sea of Cortez Beach Club By Diamond Resorts - 85506 San Carlos

A beautiful and charming resort full of lovely spanish arches. This is not a large resort and is more intimate which we love. The Hilton Group recently bought this resort and we hope they do change it too much. It offers a lot of amenities with beautiful pools, several outdoor lounging areas, outdoor barbecues along with tables to enjoy your meal at. You'll also find a four head shower to rinse off under should you go swimming or take a walk on the beach. The one bedroom looks more like a studio, yet, it is large with a full-size refrigerator, two burner stove top, sink and dishwasher. It has a nice sized balcony with two chairs, table and a free standing rack for beach towels. The view is awesome overlooking the ocean where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Everything is clean and spotless and the staff is very courteous and helpful. They have an outside bar close to the pool and a restaurant with large windows looking out to the ocean. The food is good and the prices reasonable. We enjoyed our meals that we had here. There was a little difficulty checking in since they gave him a form to fill out and it was all in Spanish. We had to ask them for the form in English and felt they should have offered both since they knew we were Americans. Unfortunately, not enough of them speak good English and are difficult to understand. We speak a fair amount of Spanish and that helped. This is our third visit here and we will continue to come back ?????

Beautiful location, lovely staff, and wonderful beds. Repairs needed and ongoing during our stay. 2 burner hot plate to cook on, no oven but full sized fridge. Lots of kids make it noisy. Snorkeling right at property! As a Diamond platinum owner, it would be cheaper to reserve on Expedia than using points.

Spacious rooms, nice pool area and the food is fine as well. Minus: Beach area could be nicer and tidier but they are working on it. Staff is very friendly.

This is a hidden gem although I think word has got out. San Carlos itself is a beautiful town on the beach. This hotel sits right on the Sea of Cortez or Gulf of California. All the rooms are big with full kitchens. All the amenities you could ever need are here. There are markets close by so you can get all you need as well as great restuarants. They have a nice restaurant here as well. If your looking to get away and recharge. This is the place. You have to fly into Hermosillo then drive down here. Or drive from the states which I found a lot of people do. It's about a 2 hour drive from Hermosillo. New freeway there. The roads are very nice. There are other hotels in the area but this one is the best in my opinion. Great rooms, customer service, cleanliness. One of the best. I know because I travel the world if you look at my other posts.

Pool and views of sea are awesome! All rooms have views of both and staff was very helpful, even helping locate a luggage cart. Definitely going back.

This place is unbelievable amazing!! We had the best day there!! Very friendly staff, we had a great and specious room…the food there is great!! You can even prepare your own steak at the beach front!! To bad we only stayed for one night!!

Pleasant hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Front desk was nice. The hotel itself was nice and clean. They have a laundry room and complimentary detergent. Access to the beaches is 5 minutes away but you have to drive because the hotel is next to a major highway. You can't get to the beach from the hotel. My only complaint is that the walls between rooms are paper thin. I could hear EVERYTHING, from my neighbors directly above me to the crowds in the pool all night.
