We love this place and these guys. Been there 5 times so far and each time is as good as the last. The beach is simply the best, white sand, surf that changes with the weather so you get all the options, very few people, comfortable accommodations and safe. We will be back again.

We stayed in the Boat Villa (the middle one) from July 31- Aug 5, 2019. There were 4 of us, and it easily could have accommodated more people. Miguel met us on arrival and gave us the tour and all information we would need. He was warm and welcoming. This was one of the best vacations I have had! The villas are well appointed and air conditioned, and the beach is absolutely incredible. We had no seaweed and calm waters for the first 4 days, and on the final day it got rough and lots of sargassum washed up on the beach. It wasn’t a deal breaker, as the water is still beautiful and there’s always the pool to cool down in. We had 3 meals cooked by Beto. The welcome dinner was incredible. We also had the quesadilla platter another day. It was good, but not as incredible as the welcome dinner. The third day we tried the Yucatan chicken. Highly recommended! The prices were much more reasonable than the tourist trap restaurants in Playa Del Carmen, and next time we might order dinner every night. We rented a car through Liza and had it dropped off the morning after our arrival. It all went very smoothly, but next time I think we’d rent at the airport now that we know where to go. There’s a nice grocery store in Puerto Morelos, which is on the way from the airport. For this first trip we ordered some groceries to be waiting for us, which was great, but next time I’d just do a quick jaunt into the village. To get to the Villa from the airport, we hired a cab that cost $42 US. They found the Secret Beach turn off (it’s a dirt road with a guard gate and yellow pylons off the highway), but didn’t know where to go at the end of the road. It’s a left turn and only about 4 villas over to #21. Easy once you find it once. It feels like you’re in Jurassic Park on the road in to the Villa. We saw lots of lizards and birds. The turtles were nesting during our stay, and although we were never lucky enough to see them, we saw the adult tracks all over the beach every morning. Drinking water was supplied for us at no additional charge, and we were lucky enough to also find a bottle of fruit and veggie disinfectant by the sink. Nobody came home with any tummy issues. We didn’t partake in the honour bar, since trusting previous guests with open liquor wasn’t something we wanted to do. We kept our own supplies separately. Next time I might bring sugar from home for the coffee, since it actually wasn’t easy to find a small bag of it in stores. We had such a nice time at the Villa that the only excursions we did were day trips to Puerto Morelos and Playa Del Carmen. We just wanted to get back and swim in the ocean! I didn’t bring my kids on this trip, and I’m looking forward to going back as a family. Thanks to Miguel, Liza and Beto, this was a wonderful trip.

Wonderful place. Excellent staff. We went there this spring during college spring break and had wonderful weather. We were quite familiar with Quintana Roo and used this as a base to do many day trips. It was perfect for us, but may be a little bit off the beaten path if you are not familiar with the area. The chef on staff prepared wonderful dinners for us.

Wow where do I begin? Could it be the view? Could it be the accommodations? Could it be the Food? All these things could not take place without an amazing staff! Miguel your heart to make our family feel like part of your family does not go unnoticed. Beto your food, infectious smile and laughter excelente! Liza making sure everything was in order to make our trip the most memorable and easy trips in a long time. You all made us want to stay right where we were at. Oh and who could forget about Luna. Love this sweet baby! This is now our home away from home and we will be back. Well done!

Just wrapped up a 12 day stay here. All we can say is the experience for our family reunion was outstanding. We rented all 3 villas for 10 days and our family couldn't have been happier with the setting, the layout, the food, the immediate proximity to the beach, the quality of the beach, the closeness to town - and especially the graciousness of our hosts Miguel and Liza. Their kindness, responsiveness and attention to detail really made the stay very memorable. Further, Miguel is an artist when it comes to food, and he painted an amazing picture every night. We can't recommend the Secret Beach Villas more highly especially for a large family like ours looking for a great place to have an amazing time together.

We just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay at Boat Villa. It was an all around excellent experience! Liza and Miguel were superb hosts and saw to our every need so we could truly relax. Particularly as Covid-19 remains a threat, it was so great to be able to just settle into all the comforts of the villa, and the beauty of Secret Beach, and never have to go anywhere! We took advantage of Miguel's service to pick up all our groceries for us, and enjoyed his fantastic culinary gifts by ordering dinner from the extensive menu every night. Miguel did a great job accommodating our unique dietary needs (a couple kids who are picky eaters, and one vegan). Portions were large enough that we usually had enough leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day. All the dishes we ordered were excellent! It was so relaxing to just be able to play all day, and then simply dine barefoot on the patio! The ocean was perfect for our family... just the right amount of surf action to make things fun, and a beautiful sandy bottom, not more than about 4 feet deep at least ~50 yards out. We also found a rockier area which was perfect to hunt for shells. It's not a great area to snorkel, but we had a great time using our snorkel gear to treasure hunt for shells. We did experience some seaweed washing up on the beach during our stay, but not as much as I feared, and it really didn't detract from our experience. Most days there was little to no seaweed, except in a few select areas along the beachfront. And, whatever seaweed that did wash up in front of the villas was cleaned up each day. One thing my kids really wanted to do was boogie board, but when we arrived the only boogie boards available were not really surf-worthy...more like toys. I asked Liza about options nearby to rent better boards, but she and Miguel did one better. Miguel went to several stores that very night and the next morning there were 5 brand new, surf-worth boogie boards for us and our villa neighbors to enjoy! We, and the other villa guests, enjoyed hours of fun playing in the surf on the new boogie boards, and I thank Liza and Miguel for going the extra mile to make that happen. The villa itself was beautifully appointed and had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen had plenty of quality cookware, dishes, all the appliances we needed, storage containers for leftovers, even a decent selection of various spices, seasonings, cooking oil, etc. The beds were comfortable, and the A/C worked well to make sleeping peaceful. We always had all the clean bath and beach towels we needed, and the maids did a wonderful job keeping everything clean and tidy. Having our own pool was awesome! The pool and patio area were cleaned every day, and the pool water was clear and clean. Plenty of inflatables and other pool toys were available. Secret Beach itself is a true gem! I'm very much not a resort person, so Secret Beach was perfect for me. Just enough people playing in the sand and surf so you don't feel too isolated, but never remotely crowded. It feels like a private beach for just you and a few neighbors. We loved walking up and down the beach each day, enjoying its natural beauty, and checking out the other properties along the beachfront. All in all, we enjoyed one of our best-ever family vacations at Boat Villa. I'd definitely go back, and highly recommend it! Thank you Liza and Miguel for helping to make this one of our most enjoyable and memorable family experiences!!

It’s hard to know where to begin. It was an amazing week. Miguel was warm and attentive and cooked us fantastic meals each night! It was such an asset to be able to have dinner delivered hot each night. The staff was wonderful too. Always had a smile and a “ hola”. The deck chairs and pool area was private with gorgeous views of the ocean. We couldn’t ask for anything more. We will be back soon
