Secrets Huatulco - Seccion Hotelera Bahia de Conejos Lote 8

How do you even begin on outstanding service, food, drinks and personalized service. We had to also deal with the resort doctor because of my health and what an amazing doctor. He was friendly,kind and compassionate. We unfortunately came down with COVID while there and the hotel went above and beyond for us. As a Canadian we had nothing to complain about. The resorted hosted us after diagnosis at no cost with the same level of service as a paint guest. Our first week there we met Ricky at Spices restaurant and welcome us like family. Made our 20 year old sons feel like they were just as important as the guests who paid more. The wait staff at the pool went above and beyond. My only tiny complaint is they ran out of Cocoa lite that is a supply chain issue and when we ordered ice a bucket all the time instead of a small t would have been great.

We stayed at Secrets Hautulco for two weeks. It was our first time there. We were absolutely in awe of the resort, the scenery, the staff and the weather. The rooms were clean, food was delicious and pools were beautiful and warm. Service was also very good. However, the reason I am only giving this resort a 4 is due to the lack of and quality of lounge chairs at the pools. We paid for preferred club and everyday we had to go down before 7:00 am to even possibly get a lounge chair at any of the the pools. On some days even doing that we were not guaranteed a chair as people threw our stuff on the ground and took them. I realize that there is a rule that if you are gone from your chairs for over 30 minutes that can happen but that is what everyone does. The weather was over 30 degrees and often we had to wait for long periods of time to get someone to find us someplace to sit. There were even people laying on the concrete at the pools as there were not even close to enough chairs available to accommodate the number of people that were there. We are older and disabled and found this very disappointing and possibly the only reason we would not return. There were times we thought there could have even been fights break out over chairs. Not impressive as if there are 400 guests there should be 400 chairs.

Fell in love with the spectacular views,great service and good restaurants of this adults only resort. We stayed in Building 1, 3rd floor preferred and the view took my breath away. Even though the resort was large, it was easily walkable even for those of us over 70. The restaurants up the stairs can be reached by golf carts if needed. Enjoyed the choices of restaurants especially the seafood restaurant Oceana. I can't wait to return.

What a sad way to experience Huatulco. My fun at Secrets included waiting an hour for my room to be ready (5:30p-6:30p; it wasn’t before check in time), wifi didn’t reach my room, requested a taxi for the airport the night before departure that ended up no-showing because it was never truly booked, and asked for a hairdryer that never arrived. Something good? The volume and pressure of the water in the shower. It was like a human car wash. That was good. Also, I realize an all-inclusive needs to figure out how to make alcohol profitable, but the margaritas are a concoction of 4-5 bottles of chemicals; I didn’t see even one squeeze of real lime juice…and this is Mexico! That’s like not being offered ketchup with French fries. Huatulco is a lovely place, just not at Secrets.

I decided several years ago to never go back to Mexico again because I always get some form of gastric issues but my daughter and her husband wanted to go away for the holidays and everywhere else was so inflated with there prices. They found Huatulco. This place is a little gem in Southern Mexico on the Pacific coast. It has restored my faith in Mexico. This is where Mexicans come to vacation. The resort was half and half with Canadians and locals. The resort is due for an upgrade but they keep it in great shape. The food was good. Weather perfect. Views amazing. A good week. The beach sand is hot and hard to walk through so bring water shoes. I will return to Huatulco.

Every room had a ocean view that was absolutely beautiful every morning and night! Rooms were always clean and fresh and keep all toiletries replaced every day! The staff were all so nice if you needed something all you had to do was ask and they moved us chairs where we wanted. The food and drinks were GREAT! We were there March 15 thur 22!! We will definitely go back!!

This place is great! It'll be hard to find a resort with a better staff anywhere. The entertainment team of Alejandro, Abraham, Francis, and Marco made the week so enjoyable! Always looking to have fun, make you smile, and create a good time/experience. Make friends with them and you'll have a great time! Also, make sure you visit Castaway's for Breakfast/Dinner! Angel took care of us with one of the best dinner settings you will experience! The resort was very clean and comfortable! The spot is beautiful and so peaceful. It would be hard to not have a good stay here.

Went for our honeymoon. This was a phenomenal resort. The room was clean, we had a swim out pool! Adorable designs on our bed with nice notes each morning. The foods was incredible at each restaurant! The service was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The sand on the beach will give you a work out, your feet sink in when you walk! The weather is consistently hot and sunny!
