After popping in for various things for years and even making special trips to introduce others to this shop I just walked out humiliated and frustrated. I brought my mother and stocked up on things and I decide to get my favorite raw cashews. The first pieces I ate as soon as I left the shop tasted stale but not the usual raw flavor, nearly musty they seemed to have a stale odor and texture. This happens from time to time with improper storage and lack of cooling in storage. I walked back to the store to explain in Spanish the taste was off and ask for an exchange if that raw batch was stale. I was refused by a cashier who then announced to other staff and shoppers that I was unfamiliar with raw cashews and said the bag I got tasted bad but he thought they “tasted fine”. How embarrassing to have a line of customers asked to convince me I was wrong. And asked to convince me taste was uninformed and then people in the line were offered freshly picked pieces of raw cashew to try and encouraged to tell to tell me I was wrong and they tasted perfectly fine. Awful interaction and inappropriate way to handle a genuine customer service request. How distasteful on many levels. I can get raw cashews and other goods elsewhere and save myself and my family the public disrespect. No, thank you.
