Grupo Motormexa nació en 1957 en las calles de héroes y maestranza en la Ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco, sus instalaciones constaban de una sala de exhibición para 4 vehículos y un pequeño local para refacciones.
En 1962 alcanzó su primer logro importante al internarse en un local más funcional ubicado en la avenida Gónzales Gallo 593.
