The women who own it are great people with an open heart. With their love for literature & books and good local products , they have created a little haven to retreat from Merida' s heat and busy vibe. Right in the centre! I always go and support local, independent businesses. Who wants global players to spread everywhere with their boring mainstream products, exploiting the world? I surely do NOT! Thank you, ladies, I will be back to your beautiful place. :)

You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into making and presenting their food here. Very stylish interior too and I loved the little touches like the logo branded knife/spreading stick that I was given to put the peanut butter on my toast. Loved it!

To get to it you go upstairs through a minimalist, tastefully decorated little hallway that just adds to the overall coziness this place exudes. After you pass through a cute little boutique in the entrance, you'll enter the actual coffee shop, which has an old-time typewriter collector poet-y vibe. The coffee (along with its accompanying biscotti) is as lovely as the staff, and they have a few small snacks that have been light and fresh. 10/10 great place to get together with a friend to catch up, post up and get a bit of work done, or just stare wistfully down at the street below as you compose your next literary masterpiece.

Coffee was first class, and also offered the rare decaf coffee here in the city. Food was spot on, and the seating area was great. It was on the second floor, so we could peer down at the muggles from above as we ate. Bonus- Bathrooms we immaculate Negative - othello game was missing pieces which didn’t allow me to beat Jonathan that day. Maybe next time.
