We stayed at Serenity Hotel Boutique for a week and loved it here! We were here on an Interval Interchange exchange and everything was amazing. Our room was spacious, with a comfy king bed, a separate kitchen and sitting area, as well as a lovely balcony. The decor in the entire hotel was modern and well done. Yes, you do have to pay a facility fee per night but we knew this in advance. Our room came with a simple continental breakfast of toast, fruit, tea/coffee, and fruit juice. It was light and a great way to start the day since we spent most days diving and didn’t want a heavy meal. The rooftop pool and lounge area feels luxurious and we spent nearly every evening up here. The rooftop bar is shut down, but you can order take out from the on-site restaurant, Mexik, and Armando was lovely in serving us while we were there. It’s just a couple of blocks from bustling 5th Avenue with lots of shops and restaurants, and it’s also just a couple of blocks from a public beach, so location is great. You can hail a taxi easily from the steps if you need to go further. If you want to do any diving while in Playa del Carmen (don’t miss diving cenotes!), just go around the corner to Pluto Dive and you’ll be well taken care of.

Incredible staff, lovely rooms and great amenities including a rooftop pool and a restaurant and bar on the ground floor with breakfast included. Just a block away from 5th Avenue shops and restaurants, and a five minute walk to the beach. Clean and contemporary interior, with a beautiful foyer and lobby. We have stayed here multiple times over the past couple years and plan on returning.

Beautiful boutique hotel!! We spent there one night. The deco is super modern and nice. The location is perfect, 10 min walking from the beach, 5 min walking from 5th Avenue. They have tickets for the beach Club Martina: 50% off (50mxn per person). They have beach towels . The room is very spacious and clean. smart TV with Netflix :) My husband was in crutches and they even had a wheelchair to lend to us to be able to walk the 5th Avenue. Parking available in a closed garage.

There was no AC at all, lobby is súper hot, super small hotel far from the beach, too expensive, decor is nice, the manager and the receptionist were not friendly, I saw on social media how they denied the access to some people with their service dogs, they abuse and charge resort fees when they don’t even serve an all inclusive to charge for resort fee, also all resort fees in the best hotels are $10-15 USD per room (as a tip for the service). And here they abuse charging $38.50 per person per night. This hotel is “pet friendly” but not “service dog friendly”. Don’t support hotels that promote discrimination. My family has a guide dog and I will never support this type of acts. Say NO TO DISCRIMINATION.

GDV Members! The pictures of the hotel appear lovely. The view from the balcony is literally a Dump filled with broken concrete and trash bags. The roof top bar has no DJ, no live music, not even music pumped thru the speakers. There is a bar but it is not operational and no one working it. You are paying $22.00 US Dollars per day, per person for WIFI and phone and toast, small amount of fruit, coffee or juice! Also is you want more breakfast it will cost you and if you question it they wont wait on you and play dumb. It stormed during our stay and the entire place leaks! The only nice thing I can say is the rooms are clean and modern and the staff was nice. They supplied toilet paper, 2 bottles of water and exactly enough towels for each person, no extra unless you ask and they were stingy about it. No starter supplies of anything else GDV Members! Omar in the kitchen was very nice and friendly.

A lovely hotel. Away from the noisier, more hectic areas but still only 1 block from 5th Avenue. The property is well kept up. The pool was clean and well maintained. I think there are still lingering covid related issues as the rooftop services were not operational but the restaurant was. The restaurant was just so so.

The entrance to this hotel was a little questionable, and there were some small additional charges we hadn't expected (we booked on hotels.com) but once we were checked in there were many pleasant surprises. The rooms were modern and clean, the rooftop pool was lovely and the included breakfast in the morning was very nice. There are also several excellent restaurants very close, and a bakery across the street that had some very good pastries. The service was extremely accommodating and took care of anything we needed! They didn't have a liquor license, but made sure we had anything we requested. We would definitely recommend this, it was a really good value!

My bf and I were really happy with our stay here. The softest bed of our journey, big room and a very nice roof top. Great service and attentive staff in the lobby. The only minus was they didn’t sell alcohol at all (for example by the pool), and it was generally difficult to get something to drink by the pool. However, you can bring your own drinks. I loved the breakfast w fresh fruit and omelette. Overall it was so good we would return here! ?
