Servifácil - Palenque

Terrible petrol station, avoid stopping here as they’ll try to steal your money, 500 pesos magically became 50 on their hands. Awful experience.

Exactly like others said, I gave 500 pesos and they said I only gave 50. Scam, avoid at all costs. Bad publicity for the whole city as this is a main road leading to the ruins.

Scam! I asked for a full tank and a guy said it was possible to pay by card at the pump. When it was time to pay, it was another guy and he said there was no wifi for his payment machine so I had to pay cash. I said ok! I gave him the money and when I turned around he said I gave him a 50 pesos instead of 500p. What I didn’t realise on the moment is that he swapped a 500p bill for a 50p while I wasn’t paying attention. So I thought it was my mistake and I took the 50 and I give him 500p back. After some tought sitting in the van couting the money I had left, I realised that he scammed me. It happen so fast! My spanish is not too good, so I asked my girlfriend to go ask him the 500 back. She told him we gave him 500pesos in extra: he didn’t even argue and just give us the money back. He definetely knew he had played us. So be carefull in all the process!

I went to Servifácil Palenque on 15 October 2020 at 6:30 PM; and asked if I could pay by credit card. I was told by the pump attendant (see attached photo) that they only accepted cash. The Servifácil Palenque's website, however, says that they accept credit card payment. The staff pumped MXN 300 of gasoline. I gave him MXN 500 cash. While waiting for my change, I turned on my engine. All of a sudden, the staff told me that I only gave him MXN 20!!! I was 100% sure that I gave him MXN 500 because I had a different purse/wallet for my MXN 500s; and I got the cash from that purse/wallet. I insisted for him to give me my correct change. He continued in pushing that I gave him MXN 20 only. This went on for about five minutes. When I told him that I wanted to speak with the manager, he quickly gave me the correct change, MXN 200. While I was taking the staff's photo, he would not put his arm down... he was covering his face from the time he gave me my correct change until I left Servifácil Palenque. When I checked the reviews online afterward, this scam is commonly done by the staff at Servifácil Palenque. This needs to stop NOW.

Be careful - they try to rip you off with the 500 MXN vs 50 MXN Bill trick. Since I got only 500 bills from the ATM he tried it with the wrong person.

This is the best gas price I have seen in the region. As a foreigner I was able to pay by credit card without problem. I suggest asking to make payment first by credit card before pumping gas. Always pay an amount smaller than you know will fit into the tank so that you don't run into any problems.

Great and honest gas station attendants. Highly recommended. Please remember to tip if you liked the service.

Scam!! Still trying to rip you off by swapping the bills for a smaller coupure after paying. Shame on Them. Count your bills to Them when handling The money over. When they do try Just say no and drive off..
