★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food and drinks were overall was amazing. Super kind, caring and helpful staff. The owner of the restaurant is typically around and make's terrific conversation. Also a away from all the loud techno music. Makes a very tranquil experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shiva is not only a restaurant but also an experience. First of all Winnie the owner is very welcoming and takes personally care of all the guests and their needs - heartwarming :) the food is authentic and delicious indian food and we really can recommend. after the food you have the opportunity to sit in the “arabian” corner and have original arabic or turkish coffee and even get to know and watch how it’s prepared. HIGHLY recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manager was super rude not just to us but also to his own staff and made a racial remark that made someone in our group feel uncomfortable. Don’t waste your time or money here, the drinks are subpar and overpriced. Only positive was the Turkish coffee and the dog Max.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I should've known immediately when the owner asked me and my family if we've ever had Indian food, that something was up. We've been to MANY Indian restaurants and never had such poor food. The garlic naan was obviously pita triangles, and the rice was definitely not jasmine nor basmati. That was plain old big grain white rice. The butter chicken was a fair attempt. I cannot recommend Shiva except maybe for a drink, hence the two stars. The owner was pleasant though lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were craving Indian food esp daal chawal after a week of eating Mexican food and this place is amazing the owner gave us a warm welcome made us comfortable and made sure we get what we ordered he even recommended a drink the Pondicherry mix which was amaaazing love the pickle on the side of daal tadka
FYI we are desi visiting from States and the food was indeed very comforting and will recommend And will indeed come again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shiva is the best dinner we’ve had in Tulum. Was in a major craving for Indian, so the bar was high and they definitely delivered. Food was great (Samosas were ?) and the owner was attentive and helpful. Can’t wait to come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food. I was in tulum for 4 nights and I was there every single and loved it. Stuff and owner they are all very nice and well service. Good taste is really good. Definitely recommend it. I don’t know why other people say owner was rude but that’s not true.
