★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel really sad that the access to this amazing place is getting everyday more and more limited due to all the new and old gated communities, everyone is building high fences or walls.
Still, if you manage to get in don't forget to look for the waterfalls and the sport rock climbing wall, is not much but it guarantees a few hours of fun, bring sunscreen, water, snacks and a bathing suit for the ponds, remember to be aware of small scorpions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A web of hiking trails along the North side of Lake Chapala offers a whole range of excursions from 1 to 8hoirs to multiple days, for beginners to advanced hikers. Beautiful views of the lake and the mountains on the South side, all the way to the top of Colima volcano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty cool moderate hike. It has some great views, but there was NO water flowing at the end of November so if you're looking for water falls of which there are a couple areas for this, beware.
