Location for these beautiful bungalows is perfection. Bungalows and grounds were very clean and well maintained. I will definately be back.

If you want a resort experience but 'all inclusives' are wasted on you, or too big and busy, Simply Baku is Fabulous! From the personal attention to the yummy fresh ground coffee, Marianne Jacobs makes your stay special.

Simply Baku stole our hearts. It’s hard to explain how special this place is, but I’ll try. First, the location. If you’re interested in a place that is equal parts charming (but not cute), classy (without being pretentious) and authentic. This the place for you. Second, the beach: unbeatable. Nestled between a beach club and a public beach. Third. The facilities. Thoughtfully / artfully appointed cabanas right on the beach. Lastly, and most importantly, the people. Marianne (the owner) and her staff (Manuel, Pilar and the whole crew) are attentive, thoughtful and don’t hesitate to go the extra mile for their guests. It’s not for everyone. No hustle. No forced fun. No open bar all you can drink/eat. Just beauty, charm and authenticity. Oh and you must like dogs. Pancho and Sushi (two lab mixes) are a combination hosts, security and entertainment.

My wife and I stayed at Simply Baku a few weeks ago in September and from the beginning, Marianne was awesome! She went out of her way to make sure my birthday week was extra special. She arranged the driver, required Covid tests, even a pool side couples’ massage for us! Manuel suggested great places to eat and drink in town. Our favorites were Tacos on the Street and Tree house. We also highly recommend Cristi’s Café up the street from Baku. Everything was exceptional: the communication, follow-up and personal attention were on point. As others have written, Baku itself is a beautiful gem right on the beach. It’s also a quick 10-15-minute walk to Playa Manzanilla where we made new friends and enjoyed lunch and a cocktail or two..ok three. Although we’ve traveled throughout the PV area many times, this was our first stay in La Cruz and Baku. Marianne and Manuel and the rest of the staff really raised the bar on hospitality. By the end of our short stay they felt like family to us. We look forward to seeing them again soon!
