Great apartment in the City!! Well appointed with all of the details taken care of! So much nicer than a hotel room and a very responsive and accommodating host! You will not be disappointed in this luxury apartment!

Loved Sirena in the City! Beautiful place, wonderful central location and be sure to read the guest book full of great information. Took the host's advice for the walking tour at the english library-- gave us a great appreciation for Merida! Will definitely be back :)

Stunning decor, impeccably clean, well designed spaces. Our stay at Sirena in the City was perfect. The house is centrally located and within walking distance to Parque Santiago, and a quick drive or taxi ride to the main town square. The roof-top terrace is breath-taking. The house offers everything you need for a beyond comfortable stay. Thank you, Sirena! You are just as beautiful in the city as you are in Isla Mujeres!

We stayed at the Loft apartment for a week. It was easily the nicest place we have rented in Mexico. Classy, clean, no clutter; an oasis in the city! We enjoyed being 2 blocks away from the Santiago neighborhood, and another 4 or so blocks to Centro. Exploring was fun, and when the heat of Merida caught up with us, "Sirena" was there with quick and quiet AC, or a cooling soak in the rooftop pool. In fact, our only negative was that the apartment was so comfortable it was tempting to just stay "home", and forgo seeing all that Merida has to offer!

If you've experienced the splendor of Casa Sirena in Isla Mujeres, Sirena in the City equally delivers. The two City apartments are beautifully appointed. We stayed in the Loft, which has a downstairs patio and a rooftop terrace with views and plunge pool. The studio is unique in its own way with one patio and a slightly larger pool. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, essential groceries and a thoughtful owners booklet that guided us with ease. We enjoyed the complementary bicycles for the Sunday biciruta, and found Santiago Plaza an easy walk for market/grocery needs. Staying several days is recommended in order to explore Merida while also reserving time to relax and enjoy this wonderful haven. Great value for the comfort and amenities.

My wife and I had a wonderful 5 night stay in the loft apartment at Sirena in the City in Merida. On all counts, it was perfect and the location -- in the Santiago neighborhood -- is great. We were comfortable walking most everywhere though found Uber easy (and inexpensive) so used that a bit too. On our late afternoon arrival (after a four hour ADO bus ride), we found basic staples already in the fridge: eggs, break, milk, juice, butter and wine! After 10 days of restaurants prior to that, it was wonderful to kick back and have a simple eggs and toast and wine dinner! Such a nice touch and really appreciated. Steve, the host, provided much useful information (where to rent a car, bus info) and was easy to reach for pre-trip and on trip questions. Jose (we never met him) was available for cleaning but we were Ok on our own. His family creates beautiful woven items and we purchased a few that were available in the apartment. The apartment designed by Steve is light and airy and just so well planned. Comfy bed, big dual closets, Nespresso coffee machine, perfect kitchen, lovely bathroom and -- a surprise to us -- an upstairs terrace with lounge chairs and a full bathroom, beautifully tiled as is the entire apartment. Sirena in the City will surely be our Merida place on any future trip. By the way, if you've never been to the area (it was our first time in the Yucatan state), it's wonderful area to explore -- both the city -- and about. Cenotes, Progreso (beach town), Mayan sites small and big, so many small towns with road side restaurants, the Ruta Puuc and Merida day and night.

This was by far one of the better places I've stayed while traveling. Booked through Airbnb, this place was excellently decorated, provided all the amenities you'd need and even came with some provisions already in the fridge so we could have breakfast the next morning without needing to run out to the store first. The balcony in back was very peaceful and the top floor balcony with very relaxing with a dunking pool as well. We'll definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful 3 week stay in November at Sirena in the City. The location could not be more perfect - and owner Steven Broin pays attention to the smallest details to ensure his guests have a comfortable & memorable experience. In addition to all the comforts of home including a full kitchen & laundry facilities, guests will appreciate the tasteful decor - it's obviously the home of a true artisan. We enjoy the loft apartment - the plunge pool upstairs is a wonderful place to relax - or morning coffee on the deck overlooking the downstairs pool is another great option. I personally enjoy the exercise of going up & down stairs - for those that prefer remaining on one level the downstairs apartment has the same ammenities with an enclosed back yard and pool. Every morning I enjoyed walking to the Santiago park and market for hot tortillas & fresh squeezed juice - across the street from the market is a grocery with any other staples you might need. On mornings you prefer to go out for coffee, Cafe Montejo is around the corner - they also have delicious salads & pizza for a delightful evening snack. We found uber a very inexpensive & easy way to get around the city - bicycles are provided if you prefer. The main square is only a 10 to 15 minute stroll away. Merida is an amazing city - safe clean & welcoming with so many things to see and do. We enjoyed a home tour and the symphony on our last visit. We are returning in March for another extended stay - I'm looking forward to new adventures & revisiting our home away from home. Steven you're an amazing host - thank you for your gracious hospitality!
