Mande a bañar a mi perrito y lo lastimaron al momento de cortarle el pelito, nunca me avisaron del incidente, me di cuenta cuando lo estaba cepillando. Aparte le cortaron muy mal el pelo, ahora q le esta creciendo se le ve sin forma.

Cute place, cute products, slightly above average prices, buut you can even sit and grab a bite or a soda while having your dog sit next to you. ?

I used Google to research the best-rated dog groomer in Mexico City. At that moment, Smart Dogs had 4.6 stars from 135 reviews. When his grooming was done, and I was petting him, I noticed blood on the floor. It turned out they cut one of his dewclaws too aggressively. They had to use styptic powder, again. Which meant he had already bled while he was inside and they didn't seal the wound properly. The truth is, I probably wouldn't have noticed the cut, had they cauterized the wound properly the first time, which doesn't excuse the fact that they still made my dog bleed. It is something that has never happened before, and I've cut his nails myself. I always prefer to cut a smaller piece, than risk any pain and bleeding. I chose Smart Dogs based on their Google rating. I didn't care about their location, their price, or anything else. Based on that, it's inexcusable for them to make such amateur negligence. Even more so when I didn't ask them to cut his nails. Sure, it's part of the grooming session, but they chose to overdo it instead of playing it safe. I'm now assuming both of my dog's dewclaws bled, but just one of them wasn't cauterized adequately by the time I saw him. All of that would've earned Smart Dogs a 3-star review. But I'm giving them two stars because of their reaction, which was appalling. They tried to explain the incident was normal. They tried to justify the blood because my dog's dewclaw was long. Ridiculous. And it makes them look even more unprofessional. If they already knew my dog was going to bleed, then why would they cut it? At any rate, they could've asked me if I approved. I was waiting in their seated area. That's what makes it worse. I obviously wouldn't have been happy anyway, since my dog bled, but it's one thing to own a mistake and apologize, and another, completely different, to justify it as normal. Which it isn't and therefore, this place cannot be one of the top-rated options in such a big city.

My dog loves their pupcakes and other seasonal pastries. We live near here so he always wants to stop by for a snack. They have really cute clothes and accessories. The staff has always been very pleasant too.
