★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was great and the coffee was even better. Ask for the Veracruzano coffee and get it with milk (if you drink milk). Super strong coffee, & the milk somehow has a caramel-like flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a lovely place. Although they had run out of some items, I had the eggs with beans and the most delicious tomato sauce. They have French press coffee (including decafe) that is one of the top 3 we have had in Mexico so far. Its a family run joint and you can see their passion for infusing Sweeden cuisine with Mexican staples.We chatted with the owner for a long time and he gave us lots of recommendations for Progresso.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't mean to be facetious, but this was the best coffee I've had while traveling Mexico. This is a fantastic breakfast joint! Eric and his family are absolutely amazing. If you're there during closing time, start up a conversation and learn about how he brought Sweden to Progreso.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We were so glad we found this place and went. The food is incredible. The coffee even better. But, the attention from the staff- from the entry in the door, the server who took perfect care of our plates and such to the owner/chef who not only cooked our food just right, but sat for a bit and shared great stories and “locals only” info about Progreso. You will not be disappointed!
