★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cost hostel close to the centre. Private rooms are good, but up in the rafters so if you are of impressive stature, perhaps Dutch or on supplements you might find it cramped. Breakfast good, friendly staff, and a big TV with Netflix for those days you don't tell anyone about when they ask how your adventures were. I have photographed the egg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never had such a bad hostel!!! I was travelling through mexico and had a really good time until I stayed there for two nights...
The last day, when I returned to the hostel after visiting a view things, they stole money out of my locker!!!! AND THEY EVEN TOLD ME BEFORE THAT I COULD LEAVE MONEY AND VALUABLES IN THERE!
When I wanted to talk to the owner he just did not appear!!
DO NOT BOOK THIS ONE!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful experience. Only intended to stay three nights. Ended up staying 12 nights. Wonderful staff. Dorms were excellant. Breakfast was great. When departing, I left my jacket there. At the bus terminal, one of the staff turned up and returned my jacket. Wow! Totally recomend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easily the best hostel in San Cristobal. Very, VERY comfortable beds and fast wifi, friendly staff and everything is clean clean clean. Even the breakfast is wonderful! Overall a great hostel with exceptional quality and nothing to complain about. The price is good too!

This place has such a nice atmosphere and a great location, and you can't beat free breakfast but money and medications went missing during my stay. The people working were dismissive and unhelpful when I brought it up. I left two weeks early and fortunately I was able to get a refund. So disappointed in this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely building with very professional staff who provide excellent information on tours and the like in a kind and friendly way. The rooms are comfortable and the daily breakfast is real food not biscuits. Standards of cleanliness were high and the internet was fast and reliable. Not to mention the location in the centre or San Cristóbal with excellent access to all main attractions. I enjoyed my 8-day stay and recommend Snail highly to fellow travellers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent location, close to where all the restaurants/cafes were. Friendly staff. Sometimes no hot water in the showers, but overall nice stay. Spacious lounge, kitchen area, and 3 floors of different style beds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful unique relaxing hostel. Had a private room that felt like it was straight out of Harry Potter, great price for it too! I absolutely loved the environment of Snail, the attic space was beautiful and the relaxing outdoor space was peaceful, a nice little retreat from the business of San Cristobal. Also, appreciated the worker at the front desk, friendly, informative and had a sweet taste in music.
