★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: -location is perfect near the 5th ave but not on it.
-Bedroom and bathroom were large and spacious.
-wifi signals strong inside the room
Cons: - towels and bedsheets were not clean with old stain visible on them.
-noise level is high secondary to new building construction directly facing the hotel.
-Breakfast were in Green and fit restaurant which includes only ( coffee vs tea + toast vs sweet bread + juice vs fruit salad). Small quantities and the staff there were rude, also dealing with taking a ticket everyday from the hotel lobby before go there is a headache
-Jacuzzi weren’t working

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel has been wonderful all the rooms have been styled well and are beautiful! The king suite deluxe was wonderful I would honestly have rather spent my entire honeymoon there instead of the all inclusive resort I went to.
The other smaller rooms were still amazing and very clean and well maintained. The rooftop swimming pool was well maintained and relaxing. It's a shame they don't seem to have the bar functioning there anymore but I hope they get it up and running again soon.
The staff here we're amazing! My wife and I were doing a lot of exploring and they were all super helpful and friendly when we asked questions or had special requests. I would definitely go here again without question!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A 2 or 3-star hotel. A lot of noise from the street. No refrigerator at the room. Small rooms but ok standard. The breakfast was absolutely useless. Small rooftop pool, but cozy. You can't bring any drinks(water)/snacks into the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many issues. Aesthetically decent and okay on cleanliness. There was a tiny balcony but no furniture to sit outside and it was on a busy Main Street. The king bed only had two pillows and only a sheet, no blanket whatsoever. No in room coffee maker. Sewage smell in the bathroom. The bar on the roof was closed. The rooftop hot tub was cold. Walls were paper thin and a family down the hall were very loud very early in the morning. Not a 4-star hotel. The Airbnb I had a few nights ago was half the price, triple the size, quieter, closer to 5th Av. and more comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They do require masks and do a temperature check. It is close to many places to eat. Provides a simple breakfast of coffee, tea either a fresh fruit or juice. Then you have a choice toast or sweet roll. It would be great if they would provide peanut butter, but they don't. They have a simple water feature inside the hotel. The roof top has a small pool. *** It would be good to put plastic cups near the pool.**** ***Too many people were bring glasses into and around the pool! That is not safe!!!***

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very misleading. These pictures are current. Sky bar isn’t open and looks like it hasn’t been in months. Dust and dirt everywhere up there. They also conveniently don’t show you the giant building going up that makes for an awful view. Room is clean but missing many of the amenities in the pictures. The bed has a single pillow for each person. I would skip this place and go to Be Playa down the block or Fiesta Inn both look lovely and we’ll kept unlike this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff is friendly, rooms are always clean, the bar is closed on the top but we did our own rooftop party. The sunset is beautiful from the bar. Parking is free, the Salad bar on the ground level is fantastic! I really recommend this place to couples, friends and those who likes parties and the nightlife
Negative: no minibar, no hammock :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our one night stay in Playa del Carmen and we were glad to have chosen this place. Our room was spacious, very clean and had modern furnishings. We booked our room to include a free breakfast (from the healthy cafe/shop next door) but it wasn't worth what we paid; small cup of coffee, 2 pieces of toast and a few small pieces of fruit. However, the hotel has an excellent location - close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and night life. As well, the hot tub on the balcony was amazing and we will definitely come back and book with Soho Playa Hotel again!....minus the free "breakfast."
