★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the atmosphere, and really great, friendly attentive staff. Loved Carlos, super-helpfull. I had the Rib Eye Akaushi, definitely some of the Japanese meat I have eaten outside of Tokyo and Kyoto. Sonora Grill will definitely be on my list of places to visit on my return trip to Mexico City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite bad. The drinks very very small and filled with ice. The place was loud as hell although the music selection was actually good. If this were a nightclub I would give it 4 stars - 5 if the drinks were decent - but it’s a steakhouse.
The appetizers that were pushed on us were horrible to say the least. My octopus - which they claim to be their specialty - was way over cooked so I left it there. The burger was COLD. They did this gimmick with the syringe to inject the cheese inside the bun which contains the burger. Give me a break! My worse experience in Mexico City so far and by far.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for a friends or family meal. Quality of the food is really good, from all the dishes I've tried so far only the 'tacos de jaiba' were not that good. Most of the drinks are always 2x1. It gets really crowded and even when the waiters try to keep up with the service, sometimes it's a little slow. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With amazing service and an extra free order of my Martini Lychi just because, my visit here was set up to be great. I had to wait quite a few minutes for a table which may explain the free drink, but I appreciated it all the same. The ribeye tacos were very nicely presented and served with delicious seasoned fries. I definitely will recommend this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frijoles starter was very delicious (we got two ?). Short rib with beef broth was good...also spicy! Rib eye tacos are a must. Wine was nice... although I was mansplained what red wine is. Service was otherwise very attentive. DJ was a good add!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is very beautiful with large open windows. The service was a bit slow and not as attentive as other restaurants in CDMX, which wasn’t a big deal for us. The drinks were beautiful and tasted amazing. We only ordered two starters, which were average, so I cannot fully speak on their menu. My reason for 2 stars is because we had ordered another round of chips since we enjoyed them so much. As we were waiting to pay another waiter from another table rushed to our table. We thought he was coming to clean up our plates however he only picked up our half eaten chip basket and quickly walked to the kitchen and placed the chips on a tray. We kept an eye on him because we thought it was kind of weird. A few minutes later we see him add salsas to the same tray and pick it up and take it to ANOTHER TABLE. I honestly couldn’t not believe my eyes. What he did is not only completely unacceptable but also dangerous. After seeing that l would never eat at this restaurant again. Unfortunately, there is no way to know if this is a common occurrence at the restaurant or just a horrible server, hopefully the latter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really great steak. The wait was short for a Friday night. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to order in English. The only mistake was when I asked for still water and they brought me carbonated. Mucho Gusto.
