Sonoran Sea Resort - 83550 Puerto Peñasco

We have spent time In all of the Sonoran properties and by far the Sea has the best overall service and experience. Well done Sea team!

First time staying here, we loved it! Very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants & bars within walking distance. Unfortunately, the adult pool was closed for maintenance. Our room keys didn't work well. Overall pleasant experience and we look forward to staying there next visit.

Update 6/2/2022: Be advised - the room rates DOUBLED this year over last year. And the rooms are not being maintained as well. Neither lock on our security door was functioning. Toilet paper was not stocked in the bathrooms and the valve on the shower in the master bedroom was not functioning well.

We’ve stayed at several places in Rocky Point and this has to be the worst location we have stayed at. The on site restaurant was hot inside, and the wait staff was rude when we asked for more time to order. The pool staff were very pushy and Mario needs lessons in hospitality. This place is NOT kid friendly, we will never be coming here again. Also the hot tubes are more like urinal deposits, always dirty and lukewarm.

Charged me for stained bathmats. We did NOT even have bath mats. Our room had NO supplies: toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, and apparently bath mats were supposed to be included. How can you stain bath mats if you don't have any? Sheets were full of long dark hair, and a few of their own stains, so that was gross. W-305

Great resort..friendly staff... but our room this time E102 smells like musty mildew. We stay in Rocky point often so it's not just because we are near the ocean ...its the room. Also this rooms patio furniture is worse for wear... but all in all a great stay... once again... my happiest place ?

Well of course its sweet, it the gringos area. Gated entrance, 10 story everyone has a balcony or patio. Sweet pool with water falls, separate area for kids, tow hot tubs, gym restaurant, security at the pool m on the grounds. Really nice and easy access to everything around. Right on the beach, cabanas, massage ladies on the Beach, food n drink, swim up bar. Well maintained and super relaxing.

My wife and I come here at least three times a year and have loved it. This year everything has changed for the worse! Not sure what has happened management wise but my wife and I have written this place off and will never stay again. We had a family reunion with multiple rooms being rented and a few at there sister resorts. The family with small children that stayed at a sister resort were kicked out of the pool by the "security" and they were SIX years old playing with their cousins. The two "security guys" are complete jokes and very pathetic. One even checked a three year old that was with her dad. Then the desk girl tried to extort money out of us for some extra bands.... which we found out they don't do! I hope all the owners get together to find new staff and managers as they are nothing but rip offs and small men with big egos kicking little children out to make themselves feel like big bad "men". Will never be back!
