★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a bit lacking for the second largest supermarket in Oaxaca. It’s not bad but it’s nothing special either. Like a lot of Sorianas, it’s all a little bit run down and dated. No soft fruit. I was hoping to buy some noodles to make a stifry but the only noodles available are the instant super noodle type. I had to go with spaghetti in the end.

I needed to supplement my Oaxacan apartment and they have all kinds of kitchen utensils and items plus toiletries, a pharmacy, liquor, clothes and extensive grocery section. I’m there every day! Prices are not super cheap but reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are super and híper Soriana stores, now, here in Oaxaca, I find this gigantic mercado Soriana that's trying to approximate a small Walmart. The first three quarters of the store is all stuff you really couldn't eat, while in the back is groceries, good, the sort of thing the name Soriana brings to mind.
There's in front of this store one of Banorte's characteristic little booth with a couple of ATMs inside. But cuidado. There's often a long line here to enter the booth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and good shop that works until 22:00. There is a wide choice of industrial goods and foods and meals, which is very good for tourists and travelers. There are very few people at evening time and the staff is very friendly.
