Spa Shanti El Alquimista - 70902 Zipolite

One of the best massages my wife and I have ever received. It was so relaxing I fell asleep a few times during the massage. We usually get about one massage a month back at home in Chicago but there is no comparing how relaxing this one was. We both give them 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend this and we would do this again.

Exactly the massage I was looking for. The massage therapist read my body, felt the knots in my back and legs, then used the right amount of pressure to work them out in pin point precision. Totally glad I followed the reviews here.

We had a facial treatment, it was very good. The options are amazing and all natural products. The service is very good. Bring cash as everything paid by card have always a charge.

My daughter and I had a full body massage, facial scrubs and masks which was 2.5 hours of pure heaven. I'm a regular spa-goer and this experience was one of the very best I've ever had. Fabiola was amazing!! I highly recommend this spa for it's quality of service, excellent staff, cleanliness and products.

We had 2 massages and facials simultaneously at Shanti. At first I was really impressed, but then I heard the facial steamer sputter and thought to myself that was not good at all. Well, the steamer splattered boiling water on my husband’s face and the skin blistered. Further, the therapist was not trained at all on how to handle it. She did nothing. No ice. She didn’t even stop the facial. At the end I heard her apologizing, but my husband has blisters on his forehead. So, Shanti Spa does not maintain its equipment. They should have thrown away that steamer at once. Shanti does not make sure their therapists are trained. At all. And they’re not trained to act in case of emergencies, like spitting boiling water. The therapist should be fired and the future therapists trained. (By the way, he said his therapist was not gods at all.) I gave 2 stars, because no one reads 1 star reviews. FOLLOW-UP TO THE SPA'S RESPONSE: What you state below is not true. Both therapists apologized for splattering him with boiling water after the end of the services, and that was it. The therapist giving my husband's facial wiped the boiling water off the floor and didn't react to wipe it off his face. They did not ask if he was burned or offer ice. Your staff does not maintain its equipment.

We showed up in Zipolite for the day with no plans, and very randomly had the taxi drop us here to begin our day. We loved the look of the grounds, so we popped into the spa quickly and they accommodated both of us that afternoon. We spent nearly the entire day napping at the peaceful pool just outside and down at the beach. Very accommodating, great massage, nice ambience. Very much enjoyed our day, thank you!

Let me just start by saying we came here TWICE in three days for what were amazing services!!! What a wonderful surprise! We were staying in Puerto Angel and took a taxi into town for the morning and on a whim decided to look for massages to skip out of the rain and we were so glad that we did!! First day- facial and massages. The spa is cool and calm and inviting and relaxing. The women working were kind and lovely making us feel completely comfortable. 90 minutes later we were both glowing and felt FANTASTIC!!! We booked another day before we left. Second day- coffee body scrubs and massages…90 minutes later…more of the same!!! If you are fortunate enough to be in this beautiful piece of the world do yourself a huge face- book an appointment immediately!! You deserve it!!
