During the first class, Alma asked me what my Spanish goals were, and she's completely focused in on what is important to me for language learning. We use many different exercises to practice Spanish, so it never gets boring. Additionally, Alma has a very friendly and positive personality. I've already learned so much in one week- I would definitely recommend taking classes here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Spanish improved tremendously after just 1 week of classes with Alma! She is an excellent teacher and adapted perfectly to my needs, focusing on conversation and grammar. The homework and exercises were helpful, and while at times I thought I might be in over my head, I realized I understood a lot more than I thought I did. I will absolutely be going back for more classes when I return to San Miguel de Allende and I would highly recommend Alma to anyone else at all Spanish levels!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While in San Miguel for a month, I hoped to improve my advancing beginner Spanish, but didn't want a full immersion every day classroom approach.
I first tried a private lesson from another teacher in town and was unimpressed. So I did more research and fortunately found Alma. She's a wonderful person and an excellent teacher with a fun, proven strategy to help your brain retain key concepts as you learn.
Alma can switch between Spanish and English where needed and her positive personality never makes you feel bad as she corrects you. I chose two or three hour-long lessons each week and the time flew by. She was able to adapt to my schedule and her classroom is right downtown near the Paroquia.
Learn Spanish with Alma, you'll be glad you did!.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alma was born to be a teacher! I came to Alma wanting to improve my Spanish and get closer to an intermediate level. It's clear she works hard to tailor her classes to each student's skill set. Our lessons are a combination of grammar, culture, conversation, games, and lots of laughter, making for a very practical (and fun!) experience. In just a few lessons, I felt like I was talking with a friend.
In terms of other background/logistics, Alma is very knowledgeable about San Miguel, flexible with her schedule, and her studio is conveniently located in Centro, close to the Parroquia.
I'm thankful to be studying with her and would happily recommend her for either short or long-term lessons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We would absolutely recommend Spanish with Alma to anyone visiting SMA! Our four year old attended her kids immersion program while we were visiting and had a wonderful time. Alma and the other teachers (Diana and Paula) are extremely caring, and excellent with kids! Great communication throughout. They provided our son with tons of fun and educational activities - I don’t think he even realized he was going to school! We will definitely be enrolling him again whenever we are back in town! Gracias Alma!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alma (and another teacher that I had, Paula) are really great teachers! Any level, you’ll feel comfortable speaking with them. I have done classes in person and via zoom. They are super flexible and kind people.
These are the best Spanish teacher I’ve had and highly recommend them.

I do one on one learning. Diana is my teacher. Diana is bright, positive. on point, always prepared and always challenges me. Working with Diana has advanced my spanish speaking, listening and writing skills dramatically.
I look forward to my sessions with Diana twice a week and I look forward to an ongoing relationship with Spanish With Alma.
Aside from Diana who is one of the nicest people ever, all of the people I have met at Alma's are fantastic. She has a great team of talented trainers.
