Spirit Holbox Hotel & Rooftop Restaurant - 77310 Holbox

Location: View is unbeatable. Watching the sunset from the rooftop pool while sipping a cocktail here is as glorious as it sounds. Being far from the center means you have either a long walk or a 50mxp taxi ride to the center, but also means you can sleep at 3am when music is still blasting in the downtown. Rooms: The actual rooms are quite large, but floors are concrete which gives it an unfinished/rustic look. Not my cup of tea but didn't ruin the experience for me. Staff: I found the staff to be extremely helpful. Even ran into one staff member elsewhere in town when he was off duty and he went out of his to make sure I found the place i was looking for. Cost: Unless you stay in a hostel, accomodations in holbox are going to run you more than some other parts of mexico. I disagree with the people saying it's overpriced. A room without ocean view was running around $65 usd. 2 queen beds with ocean view was running around $90 usd. These are in-person, cash prices so YMMV if you are booking online

The room we booked had a view to the ocean and it was much better than what I was expecting. Room was very large, bathrooms had view to the ocean as well which was incredible. The view and sunset from the pool in the end of the day is simple amazing. Staff is friendly, the prices are OK on the bar, and the beach is just in from of the hotel - you can walk 3 minutes and swim. Places are close to the hotel as well and you can go walking on the beach (15 min walk). Most amazing event was the bioluminescent during the night, which is also close to the hotel and you don’t have to pay extra for tours. Just ask the staff and go walking by your self. I’m not sure if rooms on a lower level have the same experience, but would definitely suggest and recommend the ocean view on the 2 level. Amazing staying.

Nice rooftop restaurant in this hotel. It's a good place to eat h sunset in Holbox. However food and drinks are way below average. Steer clear from nachos and coffee,you're safe with bottled drinks. Staff is quick and attentive. They accept most major credit cards but no American Express. 1 level above the restaurant has comfy couch and sunbeds but they don't allow food there

Great service. Last night our stomach was sensitive and they made a chicken soup as requested. Something that was not on the menu. Food items are a little pricey but the beach is so much cleaner and less crowded by this hotel. IG- Love_to_exist

First two images are from their roof, best roof top in Holbox - last picture was from our suite - ocean view. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, there are some weird things about the hotel like to get hot water you were required to run the water in the shower for.10+ minutes - which we didn't do bc we didn't think it was right. The room was very spacious, beautiful bathroom and overall great value. This hotel doesn't have much of a scene and is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town.

This spot is top of the tops!! Beach is so close and more beautiful than pictures could ever do justice.

If you are looking for a great hotel away from the crowds, this is where you should go. Impeccable service and the hotel was very affordable. It is not far at all from the center-maybe a 10-15 walk, and it has the best views with the best rooftop pool in town. Tomas, the bartender, made us THE best cocktails. You just tell him what you like and he will make you something exceptional. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Nice location, great rooftop bar and pool. Interior design is great. We had a room on the ground floor and missed a private patio
