Maybe in the rainy season the water source is bigger, but visiting it in June / July is not a good idea

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se trata de un nacimiento de agua. El camino es bonito, natural, fácil y casi nada empinado. Queda a 20 minutos de la entrada a potrero chico a paso tranquilo.
It is a water source. The path is beautiful, natural, easy and hardly at all steep. It is 20 minutes from the entrance to small paddock at a leisurely pace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exelente lugar para poder visitar dentro de potrero el chico a solo 5 minutos del árbol milenario este nacimiento de agua es irreal. Se puede dejar el carro estacionado bastante cerca y poder remojarse los pies en esa agua es de lo más refrescante que se puede hacer en los dias de calor.
An excellent place to visit within the El Chico paddock, just 5 minutes from the ancient tree, this water source is unreal. You can leave the car parked close enough and being able to soak your feet in that water is the most refreshing thing to do on hot days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un lugar muy bonito pero muy sucio, la gente que sube ya deja toda su basura, se pueden ver desde pañales sucios hasta bolsas de papas, chanclas y envases de cerveza. Ojalá la gente que pudiera asistir sea la que tiene educación y sabe cuidar y respetar el lugar que visitan, no la gente que ha ido y deja horrible todo el camino.
Espero pronto haya medidas y a nosotros solo los queda recolectar la basura que vayamos viendo en nuestro camino.
A very nice but very dirty place, the people who go up there already leave all their garbage, you can see everything from dirty diapers to bags of potatoes, flip flops and beer containers. Hopefully the people who could attend are those who are educated and know how to care for and respect the place they visit, not the people who have gone and left horrible all the way.
I hope there will be measures soon and we only have to collect the garbage that we see on our way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A long haul on a rocky road through the potrero chico entrance brings you to the source of Hidalgo's water. It's a hole that water comes out of, and a bit of it trickles into a stream. Nothing to write home about but a good destination for a bike ride, or join the locals and make a day of it with your picnic.
