Squalo Adventures Isla Mujeres - 77400 Isla Mujeres

I came to Squalo Adventures in Isla Mujeres, by way of a recommendation of a good friend. His recommendation was well founded. I was new to SCUBA diving and through recommendations of both my friend and Andres Fernandes, (owner and Dive Master), I prepared for my textbook portion of the SCUBA Open Water certification online before my visit. Leaving more time available in Isla Mujeres for in-water training. I found the staff and facilities at Squalo Adventures to be professional, knowledgeable and welcoming at all times. I was made to feel at ease with my first underwater experiences by the calm manner in which my Dive Instructor, Andres Acevedo Mejia, guided me through my first experiences. The equipment I used was always well maintained. As were the on-land storefront and the dive boat. The Dive Master and other crew members were knowledgeable on the conditions in the area and the many sites to be seen while diving, both natural and artificial reef formations and local marine life. As I said earlier, I was new to SCUBA diving before coming to Isla Mujeres and Squalo Adventures. My Dive Master, Jesus Altamirano, always made me feel comfortable and was able to communicate many instructions to me while underwater. And, I must admit, in one case where I began to panic, he was able to quickly calm me down and complete my dive with no further concerns. To sum this up, my experiences at Isla Mujeres with Squalo Adventures were totally positive. I would recommend them highly if you are considering coming to Isla Mujeres to dive. Whether you are new to diving or are an experienced diver. I began as a new diver and before I left Isla Mujeres I now have 16 positive diving experiences under my belt. When I come back to Isla Mujeres, I will definitely return to Squalo Adventutres.

My mother is 71 and just got certified. The guys at Squalo were so caring and attentive. Jesus was our diver master and andres and Stephen did the organization . First day we had rough weather but they were cool and made my mother feel relaxed. 2nd day, w great dives! I'd recomend for advanced divers as well as beginners. For advanced divers they are great for spotting animals and identify rare species (we saw a super rare 8 in giant sea slug!) Highly recommend will use again.

We had a great experience with this crew! Jorge and Andres were very attentive and awesome! I'm an advanced soccer and took my two boys for their first scuba adventure! They did great! I highly recommend them

The 3h snorkeling tour (45USD, to El Farito and Manchones Reef) was nice because the sea and fishes are maginificent, and the lunch they provided was tasty (grilled fish). The problem was the staff. They didn't explained anything, neither about the trip itself (safety, course of action) nor about the fauna, environment or sunken boat. They washed the snorkeling material with detergent and it ended up in the sea, they don't really care about protecting the natural environment they profit of. The little explanations took place in spanish despite some people in the boat only spoke english. There were 2 girls who couldn't swim, the instructor tried to get them to the reef but had to bring them back to the boat when the current was a bit strong, i think someone with experience should foresee potential danger or uncomfortable situations for this kind of participant and don't expose them to that. Apart of that, water was calm and sights were beautiful.

We had the best time scuba diving! Andres was our instructor and he was super informative, patient and enthusiastic. One can tell he really loves his job! I highly recommend diving with Squalo Adventures whether you have vast experience or if it's your first time dive. Thank you for everything!

The owner and scuba diving instructor Andres was amazing all around. He was responsive, kind and professional in his approach. I had never been scuba diving and he was patient and both explained and showed me how to use the equipment during the course. He guided me throughout the dives pointing out different sea life and continually checking to make sure I was alright. It was an unforgettable experience and I can not say enough positive things about Squalo Adventures and the staff.

My husband and I spent three days diving with this shop. We found them to one of the most professional dive shops we have ever used. They have excellent customer service. Our dive guide, "Chuy" was excellent. He loves to dive and he loves the area. The guys working the boat, Fernando and Pedro, were attentive and safety minded. All of the dive shops on the island will take you to the same dive sites. So really, your only choice is to find professionalism and excellent customer service. If that is what you want, Squalo Adventures is the dive shop for you.

Me and my girlfriend had beautiful diving experience at Isla Mujeres with squaloadventures team last week. I am certified and she is new to diving. The instructor made a briefing and shallow water training for her and then they did a dive together. Everything was done smooth and slow, so she really liked it. Water was clean and the reef itself is very nice, so I highly recommend Isla Mujeres dives with squaloadventures to beginners and experienced divers (I know that review looks like a fake one, but that’s due to my poor English. I actually liked the dives, guys)
