★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband left his phone in the taxi we used to return to the ship from our excursion. The border agents were super friendly and helpful. They managed to radio the taxi. Thank goodness we remembered the number. Got the phone back for the price of a taxi ride. Rewind a bit...We really enjoyed our day at Nachi Cocum and the snorkeling adventure we took while we were there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I posted a review earlier but needed to update it. I still stand by this being a great stop, however I noticed something that disturbed me.
While dining at Senior Frogs I saw several people in the water who were swimming. I was shocked with it being so close to the pier. When we left I saw more people going down stairs and a sign that said something to the effect of "swim at your own risk" or something like that.
I grew up on Lake Michigan. If you've ever seen a Great Lake you know it's like looking out at the ocean. We have many piers there. It is widely known from an early age that you do not jump or dive off any pier. You do not swim within a certain distance of any pier. The undertow can drown even the strongest of swimmers.
Why in the world would Cozumel encourage people who visit there with no knowledge of such things to jump in and have a swim? I find this senseless and foolhardy. So many people visit Cozumel who are from land locked regions. They would have no idea about rip currents and such. I worked in radio in my hometown. You wouldn't believe how many times the news reported the stories of people drowning after going swimming near a pier.
