The Temple of San Marcos Evangelista is the main meeting place of the Catholic Church that makes a pilgrimage in La Nogalera. Its current rector is the Pbro. Arnoldo Ramírez Peña. It is dedicated to the Evangelist San Marcos. In the center of the temple crowns in the main place a Crucifix of Corn Cane Paste of a Jesus who has died. To his right is the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, it is made of plaster and to the left is the Image of Saint Mark the Evangelist made of resin and wooden hands and face. The floor, as well as some of the walls, are made of white marble, the wood of the benches and of the altarpiece is of Mahogany and the marvelous golden decoration of the presbytery is gold lamella. The altar, the seat and the ambo are also made of marble. The temple has a capacity of around 600 people. This thanks to the 4 ships that exist and an additional one in the choir. It has a wide atrium and a giant cross of more than 20 meters high that exalts the triumph of Christ's sacrifice. The façade is quarried, worthy of a place such as a temple. The construction was carried out by the Pbro. Francisco Javier Ramírez, but this temple was not completed in its entirety until 2010 as the Pbro. Efrain Penilla placed the last stained glass wall. It has a large pastoral house with an auditorium and halls, a kitchenette and a chapel with crypts and for the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of Mass during the week. It is dedicated to the Virgin of Perpetual Help.
