Stanza Hotel - 06700 Ciudad de México

The hotel is a very nice location and the beds are comfortable. I will also say the staff has been very helpful but there is only so much they can do. I gave it 2 stars because the internet is the worst (can't even steam YouTube) and the noise level from the hallway is really bad. Woke twice from people talking loudly in the hall way and the room door is paper as thin as cardboard. Their should be no reason you can't have sufficient internet speed now when so many people work remotely. Also very cold in our room and the ac/heat unit will only blow cold air. Unlikely to stay at the Stanza Hotel on future trips to Mexico City.

We stayed at the Stanza hotel last summer and I neglected to leave a well deserved positive review at that time. We were very happy with our stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful even though nobody in my party spoke more than a few words of Spanish. Check in was smooth and we were billed accurately. Housekeeping was excellent as was the restaurant, which is simple but very good. The location exceeded our expectations. Restaurants, bars, churros, and pharmacy all within a few blocks, but not a "party" area which we didn't want. If we travel to Mexico City again, we will stay at the Stanza.Other reviews mention that the rooms should be updated. This is somewhat true, but a fair trade off for all the positive qualities of this hotel.

*** Warning - very imporant to read*** 2 points go off because I put a hidden cam in my room (I'm a suspicious tourist) and found a man who is not the maid in it. Nothing was stolen. The hotel claimed it was a person who checked the curtains... But still, without my consent!!! The hotel is nice, very kind and with good service. Not really close to anything, but safe.

Terrible rooms super small and no isolation whatsoever, you can follow conversations in both rooms next to you simultaneously at 2 or 3 AM. Worst breakfast EVER, definitely better having it somewhere else. They give you a coupon and bring you fruit OR juice, eggs OR bread, no milk products included, poor quality of everything, and so on. First morning they "forgot" to give me the coupon and wanted me to pay a fortune for it. Most unfriendly staff as well. The manager I spoke with was the only friendly one, but still. Wouldn't recommend it.

Our family stayed 5 days. The location is great, the hotel had lots of hot water, good customer service. It is in a wonderful neighborhood and close to everything. I can’t think of anything negative to say about my hotel experience.

I have stayed twice at this hotel and it was totally worth it. The location is such an advantage cause it’s a 20 min walk from the cibeles fountain among other very nice restaurants, bars and just the roma neighbourhood. The rooms are clean, they have a laptop compatible safe and they are pretty comfortable. Also when you get there the hospitality service is very comforting and they are genuinely paying attention so that you have a great time.

Aged hotel in perfect location. Very clean. Helpful staff whose English is fair. Bargain priced compared to Four Points half a block away. We stayed two separate weekends and were happy.

Wow!! I trully wish Google would allow a higher rating for this hotel. What it may lack in updates it really makes up for it in customer service. From the moment we booked they were always very quick to respond to our questions. This was our family's first visit to Mexico City and due to the service we received at Stanza Hotel, this will be our go to hotel for years to come. The hotel rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. There are safe deposit boxes in the rooms which are very convenient. They also conveniently offer laundry services. There is a restaurant in the first floor which conveniently offers late night room service. The hotel is located in a nice, safe and walkable neighborhood where you will find everything from bars, restaurants, convenience stores and pharmacies. There is a park located across the street which is always bustling with people enjoying different sport activities at night. From front desk clerks to housekeepers we received honest and superior customer service.The Bell boys are a great resource for directions and getting the best taxi fares for outings and tours. Thank you Alejandro for always going above and beyond to give us directions and get us taxis. Our belongings were always safe and our room was always meticulously clean upon our return in the evening. I can not believe we got much for such a low price, I look forward to going back as much as I can and am happy I found our home away from home when in Mexico City.
