Stingray Restaurant & Karaoke Bar - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Fun place, went there mid day so it wasn't very lively but I could see where it could be a fun place

I was staying at the Ixchel Beach Hotel and I took a stroll in town after dinner and found this charming little bar. I love the swing concept instead of barstools. Great drinks and the bartender was very friendly.

Great staff. Caring, kind and engaging. They pour a great drink. Wonderful KJ for karaoke and giant stage to sing on. I loved started and ending my nights here.

This bar automatically adds a service fee (tip) to your drink receipt, then specifically hand writes at the bottom that tip is NOT included. I called them on it and the manager admitted doing this to all tabs. We were there 2 years ago and I caught them doing the same thing then. So each time we walked by on Hidalgo I would warn the patrons, who were very appreciative of knowing about their ripoff tactics!

Came here for Karaoke night, the sign said it started at 7pm. There was no karaoke. Came back at 8pm still no karaoke but the waitress did say it should start in about 30 minutes. Sat down for drinks. They were not great. Ordered some food, nobody in our group finished half their food, it was so bad. Which is really disappointing since everywhere else we have tried on this island has had such great food Order more drinks, hoping karaoke would start, the screens kept saying this was a karaoke bar, but they played nothing but club music and clubbin music videos. So since we had been there about 90 minutes already we just left. If you want some Cancun/Spring Break vibe and “da club” music this place will probably work for you. But if you want isla vibe, karaoke, or just a good dining experience this will provide you with none of that

Who doesn't love karaoke and great service? You are on an island on vacation.. Who cares how you sound??? This is my go to spot for great karaoke. And the service is awesome, friendly staff, good people. When friends come to visit, this is one of the spots I make sure they know. Bar is great with swings for bar stools. Prices are reasonable for Isla. Have some fun and try this spot out!!!!

We had just gotten off the ferry, had enough time to unpack and arrived at late lunch time. We were greeted by an energetic young man and promptly seated at the bar. We lived the swings. Drink orders took a bit longer (thus the loss of a star). I had a very delicious piña colada and my girlfriend ordered a beer. We both had burritos. (Steak pictured). Prices were Isla-reasonable but after spending the last 8 days in Mexico City, it felt a little high. I would definitely go back and I may check out karaoke one night!
