Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa - 48330 Puerto Vallarta

This is a fantastic resort. Comfortable spacious rooms with nice mattresses, working AC, hot water, and blackout curtains that cover the whole window. Beachview balconies. Friendly and helpful staff, gluten free options for all meals, and well kept grounds. Everything looks just like the pictures, no complaints, you can't go wrong here.

Great stay. Rooms were amazing, nice views, and well kept. They were expanding the hotel when we were there - Oct 2021 - but there was very little construction going on during our stay. For food they had a little something for everyone and good selection for kids. Nestor took care of us.

Fabulous staff,excellent food,great pool with swim up bar. Nice room-all have sea views. When construction is complete will be more popular. ONLY negative was the lobster which was above All inclusive was not worth 950pesos! Will return.

Good service, large rooms, feels very safe. Food was okay. Drinks were very good. Could use better bedding/pillows on the beds. I would bring my own next time. Construction noise throughout the day and loud music from resort next door at times. Service was good but not great. Kids had a wonderful time. Great location in town.

Worried about posting that this place is highly rated, I want it all for myself. The waiters, the entertainment staff, front desk, and cleaning staff are kind, personable, engaging and made us feel at home and very welcome. The food at the main restaurant, 24h, pizza spot and reservation only Italian joint was too notch, predictable and fantastic at every meal. We will be back, for their sake I hope you visit....but not when we're there, we want it for our selves!

This resort would be a 5 star, staff are absolutely great. This is our 9 th time here and unfortunately it will be our last. The food is good it used to be great but they seemed to have cut back or don not have someone managing or tasting this dishes prior to serving. Some things are great others can’t even eat. The construction is still going on after 4 years and we understood that when we booked however after 4 years you would think they would be done with the jack hammering. Everyone in the resort has complained and they do nothing about it. They could try and put up some type of shield where they are jack hammering or even shorten the time but it is all day long. You can’t even talk to your friends without yelling. They could even put up notices to say they will be doing this work for a 2 hour period then stop, even hand out ear plugs, but they do absolutely nothing except nod there heads and say yup a lot of complaining. This is the busy season and hardly anyone around, you would think they would try and muffle the noise or delay this type of work to the off season. They should be offering all of the people staying here a voucher discount or something, room upgrade for a future visit. Everyone we have talked to will not be returning to this resort again and that is sad, because it was a great place and I feel bad for the staff having to deal with everyone, management should be going around and asking people and doing something about the issues.

Excellent facilities, Pools, beach front, restaurants we all very nice. The staff was exceptional including our Butler Nicolus, Miguel the humorous waiter, Oscar at the front desk , Lorenzo out front getting us cabs! Great massage and Reflexology at reasonable prices. The hotel is getting an addition so construction was a bit noisy during waking hours but tolerable. I definitely recommend this place for a couples or family vacation!

Very beautiful, clean resort. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We loved the food, not a bad meal. Drinks were very tasty too! The jackhammering all day was very loud! And housekeeping did not clean our room one day. Checking in was great until they tried to talk about timeshares at length. Covid PCR tests were $140 American but was fast and convenient. All in all I would recommend this resort.
