★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best surf stay in Barra. Good price, food, vibes and wildlife around. Expect weak wifi and phone reception, but that's everywhere in Barra and not what you're here for. Just saying for those who work online.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hostel. I didnt actually stay here, had another place booked but I met great people here and spent a lot of time at the little restaurant/bar in the lounge area playing ping pong (table tennis). Lots of quality surf boards to rent. Running water. Cute little cambinos for cheap rent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relaxed place ideal for everyone looking for a quite time. Both campground and small bungalows. Beach is walking distance, perhaps 15 min. I was camping during my stay and the price for that was amazing too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super chilled place. Basic cabanas with hammocks, nets and fans. Very affordable, really good food, great common area. Pepe, the owner is a lovely guy. I loved this place. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cute place with basic cabins (a bed, mosquito net and a fan!), lots of hammocks, good showers and flushing toilets, a lovely communal area, and great food.
Really appreciated the access to potable water even for a fee - haven't seen much of that in Mexico so far and it was great that Pepe's at least is encouraging less plastic usage.

I had a private room with AC and private bathroom.
10 to 15 min walk to the beach, but there are plenty of tuk tuks to give you a ride.
Pepe is a really nice guy and the food from the restaurant is also very convenient and good.
If you need to rent a surfboard just go to the beach, there is are 2 rental spots at the beach and it is the same price as rentals in town but you avoid having to lug your board around

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is incredible and the cook chefs are really nice. The place is located near Barra and other surf spots. The vibe is really chill and the cabanas are clean ! We spent 2 weeks there, if you travel and look for a place for surfing : go for it !
