Great tacos! Out of the cabeza for the evening. Amongst great company & service was attentive! Delicious food albeit out of the way for most tourists.

These tacos are really really good. They have 4 variations of Cabeza, Eye, Mixed, Cabeza (which is like a Cheek mix), and Tongue. Eyeball: Definitely a good taco. Try not to think about it in the literal translation. Consider them Eye Candy Tacos. These tacos are springy yest soft chunks of deliciousness. After separating and discarding the sinewy nerve, they’ll chop the gelatinous orb into juicy cubes. The texture is far from slimy, a must if you are in the area. The rest of the meat was fairly the same, soft in texture yet full of the braised beef flavor. Perfectly seasoned meat. I will say the tongue did not stand out as much as other tongue tacos i have reviewed. I would definitely go back and just get eye candy tacos and regular. One thing i am a stickler about is the tortilla, as you may see on my other reviews. They give you each taco with an original and a copy, (What they say when a taco has 2 tortillas). Tortilla where similar to what you would find at a tortilla shop anywhere around town. Which if you have had any tortillas around here you would know they are thick as hell. I only ate each taco with the one tortilla and left the copy. I have found that not only do extra tortillas fill you up quicker, but the masa flavor tends to dominate the meat flavor. You need just a balance. Im not entirely sure why they do not use thin tortillas like i have seen at other taco shops around. Either way the extra tortilla wasn't a big deal, just remove it and problem solved. Overal Price is excellent! These tacos clock in at 18 pesos thats a little less than $1 american dollar. But dont think these are some skimpy tacos. These things are pretty big. I saw a few pictures and just imagine a regular corn tortilla stuffed with meat and then look at those pictures posted to get an idea of how big they are for 18 pesos. Service was good, i was the first person right after they had opened so they where pretty attentive and nice. Not entirely sure how they would fair in a busy environment, but my guess, not just from personal experience but from reading other comments on here, It would be safe to say they are pretty consistent. Highly recommend these tacos if you are in the area, definitely worth a try if you like Braised and steamed Beef head tacos. Just a word of caution, I was told several times the neighborhood is a little dangerous down the next street over. Just be sure to be to not venture off. Happy Eats My friends.
