We went here with a tour, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The potters were incredibly friendly and talented, and their work was beautiful. They showed us the whole process from making the clay to throwing to firing, and actually let us try our hand at making something. At the end, they made us a delicious meal which was one of the best meals I had while visiting Oaxaca. As a pottery enthusiast, learning how they made pottery was an amazing experience. On top of it all, they were so kind and welcoming to us. I am really grateful for their hospitality and for the whole experience.

This is an artisans collective of women who work ash-brown clay in quite ancestral ways. The main artisan is Ana María Alarzón, she's known internationally for her beautiful ideas, unique pieces. Go ahead, visit and learn if you want, her family is amazing!
