★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tengo que actualizar mi opinión, fui a realizar un servicio de afinación, cambio de bomba de agua, cambio de termostato y cambio de bandas. Hay detalles que son muy buenos y otros que me hicieron perder la confianza. Cuando estuve presente mientras hacían el trabajo noté que son ordenados y limpios con su taller. Sin embargo tuve que volver en dos ocasiones.
Mientras cambiaban las bandas un mecánico hizo un cometario que no me gustó para nada y me hizo irme desconfiando “A veces las bandas nuevas salen peor que las viejas”. Al regresar a mi casa y revisar las bandas viejas para tenerlas de repuesto para una emergencia noté que las bandas que le cambiaron las pusieron al revés. Si bien argumentaron que mientras se ajusten no hay problema, creo que si él fabricante especifica una banda para cada componente es por una razón, accedieron hacer el cambio pero un poco molestos y apurados.
La segunda ocasión noté que el auto empezó a tirar aceite y anticongelante, al llevarlo y decirles, lo revisaron y me comentaron que era la rondada de cobre del tapón del cárter y una manguera estaba aflojada, pero ya desconfiado voy a otro taller y no era el origen de las fugas. Les pedí también saber si las mangueras estaban buenas y el mismo mecánico que hizo el comentario de las bandas con hastío respondió “Pues no lo sé”, ni ganas me dieron de decirle que las revisara por favor y me fui.
Así mismo, durante el servicio escuchaba cometarios como, “mira siempre se pica de aquí”, “puro plástico viejo”, etc… que si yo no me acerco a preguntar no me los hubieran comentado aun estando presente.
Para mi un mecánico de confianza es aquel que te comenta y revisa todos los detalles que van encontrando en el carro para que se puedan atender pero ahora que he decidido revisar el carro personalmente he encontrado muchos detalles que durante la afinación, cambio de bomba de agua, cambio de termostato y cambio de bandas, se tuvieron que haber dado cuenta. A lo mejor la falta de luz en el taller afectó la revisión.
En fin, parecen ser buenos mecánicos pero no revisan a detalle y me dan la impresión que hacen ciertas cosas a la ligera. Perdí la confianza para dejarles el carro para un servicio mayor en el futuro.
I have to update my opinion, I went to perform a tune-up service, change the water pump, change the thermostat and change bands. There are details that are very good and others that made me lose confidence. When I was present while they were doing the work I noticed that they are neat and clean with their shop. However I had to go back twice.
While they were changing the bands, a mechanic made a comment that I didn't like at all and it made me suspicious “Sometimes the new bands turn out worse than the old ones”. Upon returning to my house and going through the old bands to have them spare for an emergency I noticed that the bands that were changed were put on backwards. Although they argued that as long as they fit there is no problem, I think that if the manufacturer specifies a band for each component it is for a reason, they agreed to make the change but a little annoyed and in a hurry.
The second time I noticed that the car began to leak oil and antifreeze, when I took it and told them, they checked it and told me that it was the copper ring of the crankcase plug and a hose was loose, but already suspicious I went to another workshop and it was not the source of the leaks. I also asked them to know if the hoses were good and the same mechanic who made the tiresome comment about the bands replied “Well, I don't know”, I didn't even feel like telling him to check them, please, and I left.
Likewise, during the service I heard comments such as, "Look, it's always itchy from here", "pure old plastic", etc... that if I hadn't come to ask, they wouldn't have told me even if I was present.
For me, a trusted mechanic is one who tells you about and checks all the details that they find in the car so that they can be taken care of, but now that I have decided to check the car personally, I have found many details that during the tuning, changing the water pump , change of thermostat and change of bands, they had to have noticed. Perhaps the lack of light in the workshop affected the review.
In short, they seem to be good mechanics but they don't check in detail and they give me the impression that they do certain things lightly. I lost the confidence to leave the car to them for further service in the future.
