★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each flavor was so good! We tried chicken mole, pork with green sauce, mushroom with goat cheese, and blackberry with cream cheese. They’re closing earlier than the posted hours (12:30) and are closed Monday and Tuesday. They sold out by 9:30 but I was able to order ahead for the next day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming from California we eat of a lot of Tamales. These are hands down some of the best I have ever had. So incredibly fresh and tender. And a wonderful story of the owner preserving his grandmother's traditions and legacy. Our favorites included the mole with chicken, salsa verde with chicken and with pork, rajas con queso, and huitlacoche with queso de cabra. If you are in CDMX you must check this place out.

Long lines, they sell out of some items extremely early.
I recommend ordering a lot to go and eating them at home everyday

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot even begin to explain how WONDERFUL these tamales are when you taste them. There is no match for how delectable this food is! They also make everything by hand, even going to the extent of making their OWN masa!!! It is indescribable and everyone should go at least once while in town. They also have an amazing selection that you can go through. You cannot go wrong with any of them though! I personally loved the fig one for dessert (but my husband was a strong apple fan) (higo y manzana) and the mole con pollo or poblano. BUT! You can seriously not go wrong with any of them. This is an absolute MUST EAT!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your looking for an array of traditional, delicious tamales, made by an adorable Mexican abuela, Doña Emi is not to be missed! We tried the pork mole, fig & pecan, grasshopper, and a corn mushroom & goat cheese tamale. The sauces and moles are absolutely delicious, and if your going to try a grasshopper dish, this is the one. The food is made with love, and with flavors you won’t find outside of Mexico. It’s only open for breakfast, so get there before they’re gone!!!!
