★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little restaurant recently opened in the centre of the city and is the perfect place to stop by for a quick bite. Their menu is small but perfectly balanced and almost everything we tried was incredible and soooooooo fresh. For food, we had the Mole con Pollo and Verde con Puerco (made with pollo instead), both of which were so tasty. The masa was airy and light. We also tried the Zarzamora con Queso Philadelphia (blueberries with philly cream cheese) but I'm not the biggest fan of philly cream cheese so I didn't enjoy that one as much.
If you want a sweet drink to accompany your tamales, I would highly recommend the Atole de Mazapan. It's creamy and has texture from the candy pieces (it feels like biting into walnuts) which I love. The owner is really nice and the service is great. Definitely a place to check out!
