★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only came here for a quick snack and beer because I walked past and it looked busy!
The service was fast and attentive, always someone around you could get the attention of if you needed help, there’s a lot of people working there. Food came out super fast too! Tried volcanes for the first time- size of a taco with the crunchy tortilla of a tostada. The tacos were good too- sure, there are better ones in the city but these hit the spot. Loved their salsas too! Also impressed with how clean it was.
Overall a fast, cheap, professional taqueria.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the smaller tortillas here! I like to try the tongue, brain and and cheek; but al pastor is the one I get multiples of.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portion sizes are huge here! We ordered a Torta carnitas sandwich, and it can really feed 2 people. The horchatas were amazing. I especially loved the carnitas tacos! My friend got the cheese quesadilla, and what's great is they offer different sauces and a bunch of limes to flavor the food.
Prefer to sit outside? There's outdoor seating by the road under tents lit up by Christmas lights and lamps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had three hours in Mexico City and this is where we ended up for dinner. Nice guacamole, frijoles were ok, taco de pastor was good, volcanes mixto and obregon were really good. Cold beers, decent service. At $20 for the lot, it hit the spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute classic and for good reason: Taqueria Alvaro Obregon offers some of the best Al Pastor tacos in Mexico City, plus excellent tortas and drinks, and it does so very quickly and inexpensively. Wait staff is fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4.5/10 - will not return.
It was adequate, but terrible service.
1. I requested my drink twice. The drink arrived after my food and long after the table beside me was seated and served drinks.
2. I ordered guacamole to enjoy on a hot day. Never arrived. Because the other parts of my other had arrived I did not bother to speak up considering my drink experience. It felt pointless.
The food was what I would label as "Fast Food" . The meat was not bad, but the cheese was not quality and it overwhelmed every dish. It was a notch greater than the quality items on the Taco Bell menu.
I don't think you can go wrong with what type of meat you choose. They were not fatty or too greasy. It was the cheese that ruined everything.
In regards to service, perhaps asking the server(s) to read your order back to you could help. There were eight servers for eight tables. No idea what was up.
I will not return and will not recommend this place.
