★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a truly great meal at Taqueria de la Union. If their hours of operations weren’t so limited (1 pm-9 pm), I would definitely go back for more pork! The establishment is very, very casual and service is limited, but friendly and on point. A must when in Merida.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been spreading the gospel of this Tacqueria ever since I had the first bite of that Pork Belly Al Pastor. What a juicy experience that was. Not only is this the BEST taco I’ve ever had I’d wager it’s almost the best meat I’ve ever tasted. If you’re visiting Merida, I would put this place on the same ranking of importance as visiting Chichen Itza, it’s simply sublime.
*note: some people prefer their tacos soft. On one occasion (we visited many times after coming here and having a glimpse of the beyond…) they did fry the taco shells, which made them harder to eat. So just be sure to make a note of that when ordering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful taqueria just off Parque de Santa Lucia. Ate here twice during my stay in Merida and loved it both times. Tacos of note were the chamorro negro and the pineapple-topped Al Pastor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing place for tacos, right in the heart of Centro Merida. We enjoyed all of our tacos, from Pork Belly Al Pastor to chicken, the bite-sized masterpieces came in hand-made corn shells. I wish I’d taken photos of the food, but I was too busy eating. A must-do in Merida, as far as I’m concerned. Check the hours before you go, they are hard to catch open sometimes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of all of the taquerias I have been to during my 1 month stay in Mexico so far, this one has the best tacos ever. I go here even when I'm not hungry, because they are just delicious. Excelent value for money and still not so crowded, definitelly deserves more customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reminisce about the tacos I had at Taqueria De La Union about every other day and dream about them every other night ... That's how delicious these tacos are! I cannot recommend it enough, go there, try any taco (or all of them) you won't be disappointed. The restaurant is quite small but there's a sink right by the tables to clean up after your gargantuan meal. Man, just the thought of it ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great street style tacos which can be enjoyed in a small space with about 7 tables.
We were there in the evening, not too late, and they were already out of a few items on the menu, so get there early if you want the full selection.
These are the smaller sized tacos, so order a bit more than you might normally order.
Server was helpful and did his best with the evening rush of customers.
