It's number one on tacos

Its the first time I come here and it did not meet my expectations. Waiting: There is no waiting time when regards to be seated, but we did have to wait 15 minutes on our waiter to take our order. Plus another 35 for our order to come out. Order: The cooks confused our order and gave us what they wanted. The person in charge was kind enough to offer to change our food for what we ordered, but we decided to keep it as is and not risk for another 30 minute delay on it. Food: The Bistek was bland and had an unpleasant texture, Tripas where just burnt and mushy and the Pastor was just ok, nothing special about it, though the Queso Fresco they used on the tacos was of good quality (btw i didn't order mine with cheese, cooks just put it on my order). The Ranchero beans were surprisingly good; spicy, flavorful and hot. Overall it wasn't a good experience. They could use at least two more waiters inside the dinning room and a bigger cooking area to keep up with the demand. Regarding the food, it seems that taco restaurants here in Matamoros have adopted this new way of cooking where the meat just flavorless and dry and La Papita is not the exception. The only good things I can say is that the beans are the best I have tasted in a while and the concept of putting a galeana potato in your order makes it unique.
